DINODIRECT - Devious or just idiots? Edit - Correct item arrived.

Let me translate it to you: in a nutshell, your account is no good for refunding, just for taking moiney from it :DDD

i sented email to paypal and they refunded me in 6 hours!! the email that dinodirect confirm that they got my item back but refusing to give me refund for what ever reason! thank goodness paypal knows how to do business protecting consumer!! WORSE BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER with dino direct. how hell can u stuff up someone’s first order!!!

Today I received TF flames from dinodirect, u protected (ordered protected, lowest priced) that have potential to be the worst TF flames clone ever.

Im just testing first cell and my eyes almost popped.

After 17 mins, voltage is dropoing fast, 2,97V, only 294mAh :ooo

These are grey-lettered Trustfires.

Grey-lettered trustfires (protected) from dx had 2000mah consistently,but these….
If they are all like this (I got 4), that would me major f**p

I tend to disagree, despite appearances they are not idiots !

Keep in mind we are not the average buyers . nor are we
the majority of the people who purchase from them.

For the average buyer , ( the targeted audience.) if their new flashlight lights up / changes modes and the charger recharges the batteries, they are happy because it works the way they think it should. At this point , there is no problem for the seller.

The “average” buyer will not recognize a fake battery ,
a under driven flashlight and as long as the charger & batteries don’t burst into flames ,
Everything is Good !!
And they can take an absurd amount of time to ship the product
(while drawing interest on that money ) because after all ,China is a long ways away.

Again ,we are not the average buyers…
We recognize fake batteries, under driven lights & crap chargers.
We know it doesn’t take 8 to 12 weeks to get the products from China to our hands.
When we bitch, they apologize, offer store coupons so we can get more of their shoddy products & services , and will give a full refund upon occasion.
When you look at the bigger picture , there really is no need to change or improve !!!

LOL. Yes. Has happened to me before, or they didn’t show ALL of the order. To their credit, they DID replace my broken V2. Took long enough though.

preview pix. i noticed that lately the uploaded FB pictures are in a mess. afaik it is one guy who is responsible for the uploads. Orders which were shipped on one (15th July) day would appear in FB folders up to 7 days later in a folder called "2012722". so now the general rule to find your DD preview pic is: once you get your Order Shipped notification email, you must check all FB folders which are created from that day on.

In most of my orders, I receive preview photo email but without any photo in it… (and I enabled photos in emails)

yah, the photos are not included in the emails anymore because the photos are not uploaded to the server by that point of time.

My last issue with dinodirect. (And instead of doing it smartly, non receipt via Paypal, I opened a claim there, at dinodirect; because chat fwas offline, thank to god!! Because I would probably spend 30 mins there, waiting and talking to a wall, without solving anything….)

I received 2 packs of Trustfire 2400mAh UNPROTECTED cells.
Furthermore, these cells are FAKE; and they have capacity of only cca 300mAh (I measured it with hobby charger)

SO, I want refund from them, I cant do nothing with them except throw them in junk - so, wrong item, fake and deffective.

2) One of 3 SkyRay SR5 flashlights I ordered is not working, and the problem is not in the switch - so, it’s some bigger deffect.
I want a refund.

Pls dont ask me to send you some photos of “non working” flashlight or something, See how many orders I make with you. I would not bother you for nothing.

Pls refund this 3 items or giftcard valued as these 3 items or more (not lower).

From these 4 cells, I measured 2, one was below 300mAh (I hoped it was just bad cell), and other 495mAh, discharged at 1A to 2,8V…

Maybe if I recycle them few times they’ll become 2400mAh cells?? :slight_smile:

Really Im not going to let this go. Just imagin pure suckers that dont know much about this and they try to power their XML lights (god forbid with 2X 18650) with those cells wich are really only for junk

All four “trustfire flames batteries” (paid 8$ for 2-pack) have consistently capacity of 350-550 mAh.

These are gray-lettered, unprotected (I ordered protected)

DD sells china ware and china ware can be crap ware. No big deal. I got bad china ware from DD too, not long ago. A quick chat session and they refunded the item's full price in form of a gc. And with that and other gc's i funded 3 further DD orders, china ware again. And if the 3 warez turn out bad quality, another quick chat session and they ..etc..

This were cheapest Trustfire flames 2400mAh cells.
Also, its not unusual that they send different items under same SKU, one day one item, tomnorrow another.
Buying bcells from them should be blacklisted all together… (buy cheaper cells from manafont, kaidomain, lightake, or even from dx)

Although Im waiting for some Ultrafire silver 2400mAH, very cheapo, 5-6$ pack, for wich I think they have consistent 1900-2000mAh capacity, and that they are even original Ultrafire batts, some old stock.

But for average buyer who is not prone to make big risks, better dont buy cells from DD (if you like your money)

PS: I know its altogetther possible that they have good Trustfire flames somewhere in the warehouse, under some SKU, under some good or bad price, but who can know under wich SKU (they surely dont know, at least dinodirect staff you can contact doesnt know nothing about it),

and also who can gurantee that they’ll send you precisely those (and not some other from another shelf or box) on the day you order them.

In 2 days, as an answer to this claim I received only automatic promotional line to check annyversary items, to hurry and blah blah blah.
It would have to be resolved via Paypal…

After I explained them (and Im restricted to only 500 chars) in detail whats wrong with cells anfd flashlight and what I demand, their answer is this (after 3 days and one promotional mail in response to claim :o )

So than I repeated them whats the problem and what I want.

I already had that experience with them (especially live chat is totally useless and u**nbelievably time consuming**),and I was solving everything with them only via paypal.
Now, few months later, I raised a claim just to check if anything changed.

ADVICE: With contacting dinodirect customer servise youll 99% only lose your valkuable time.
Their tactic is not to help you, it’s to wear you out (literally, they hope youll give up) and to stall indefinitely, maybe to give you small igtcard just to get rid ogf you etc. Its more than obvious that CS staff has such instructions.

Sort things with Dinodirect ONLY VIA PAYXPAL. Best way is non receipt claim
