Test / Review: Keeppower 18650 3400mAh (Black)

Am I reading the information right? 11 amp draw before the protection circuit kicks in? If that is right, I will be getting a few of these to replace some of my IMR AW’s. For safety’s sake.

As usual, nice review. Thanks.

That is correct, but at a continuous load it will probably trip at a lower current (Maybe around 10A).

Running a battery this much above the rated current will also reduce the lifetime significantly.

Sounds like faulty pcb, you would be better off with the bare cell.

It is not a faulty PCB, but it probably has 3 transistors. Many 2900/3100mAh batteries has the current limit at around 11A.

Kudos for the Battery Comparator, HKJ !

Hey I know these are only available in large quantities I.E. 100 pieces. I don’t have any need for that many batteries… yet :frowning:

I’ve made an inquiry as to price for 100 pieces.

My question to y’all is if I make a purchase of these batteries direct from source at 100 pieces would anybody be interested in buying excess batteries off of me. I don’t yet know what the cost is seing as I just sent the inquiry 5 minutes ago. But I will keep y’all posted.

Due to the limited availability, I would opine that you would have little difficulty getting rid of them - at a reasonable price, of course.

Depending on the price - yes.

Well it looks like I can pick up 50 or 100 pieces and sell what I’m not going to use at about 8.50 a piece plus S&H and make a small amount back in my pocket. If enough of y’all are interested ill buy some and share the love with this new incredobat. PM me if you think you’d like to buy some pending a purchase from keeppower.

For that price I’d be in for 4 or maybe more.

I’m in for 4 of them.

Lol I figure that’s a lot cheaper than than you can buy lesser quality batteries. We’ll see how bad they are going to stick me for shipping. That price has some shipping from them built in. It might go up a little if they hit me hard for shipping.
:~

I plan to purchase 3-5 depending on finalized pricing

those are both active on this topic they should cover the info on price per unit and cost of shipping by location.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Welcome to the madness, JaredM!

HKJ,

Are these on the market yet?

I believe that only a small batch was released onto the market. Keeppower got some of these and send a couple of them to me for test.

When next batch is released is an open question.

Thank you HKJ!

Hi HKJ, I don’t understand, what does this mean? Sorry I’m a newbie.

Lights needs some voltage to function and many lights will reduce brightness or even turn off, before the battery is down to 2.5 volt.

Here is an example from one of my reviews:

The light needs 4 volt to get full brightness, when the battery voltage is down to 3 volt you will only get about 30% of full brightness.
