Rating: Lighthound

Forgot to mention they include a little coin cell squeeze light (digital switch) as a freebie with your order. You can never have too many of those - my kids love to play with them!

Hi there Melvin, thanks for joining! We're glad to have you here. Enjoy!

Hi Melvin. Enjoy your stay here. :)

Aloha and welcome to BLF Melven!

I bought a few things from Lighthound a few months ago and everything showed up just fine and in only a few days. I might have to check out their website again.

I also just bought from them, summarised by Quick delivery, and an easy shopping experience. Don't forget the 2% of with cpf code. Helps take the edge of the shipping (which was $16 starting rate for me :o )

I Bought 17670 battery tubes for the old HDS lights. I bought the storm 3 weeks ago from going gear 'garage sales' for $55, and it hasn't arrived yet (intl postage is slow), but I already wanted to get 18650 tubes for it. There was a guy on CPF wanting to sell his 17670 tube used for $60, later with a price drop to $50. I found it on light hound for $2.50 each i believe as an inventory clearance?. I don't know if its arrived yet, but I'm expecting it in a week or two. I ended up buying 3 sets of tubes !!

On a side note, the exchange rate is more favourable here though.. Buying locally is crazy expensive, with barely any choice. A Mag 4D incan will cost $70, and a led lenser P7 will cost $150 on sale!! I also saw a 6p incan the other day, it was recently brought in, and was going for $160 @.@.

Welcome Melven. I've used Lighthound a few times now for various purchases, and like you stated all have been excellent experiences.

okwchin, those are some crazy maglight prices! I feel bad mentioning that I picked up a couple of 2D incans for mods for $16 each and a couple of 2aa mini mags for $3.50 each.

Maybe you could buy and post some to europe. :)

Who does not want a 2D mag at 16usd for a XM-L transplant?

With a set of these and a decent driver it would make a nice flashlight. Charging those batteries might be a bit tricky tho.

Btw, it's just an idea, i surely don't want to bother you with such request. In EU Maglites are quite expensive!

http://www.svetlobna-tocka.si/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=124 <- best deal so far, usually around the 40€ mark for the incan.

I have charged 32600s on a WF-139 charger. All you need is some wooden dowel of about 50mm in length. Screw a small wood screw into each end. Solder a red wire to one screw and a black wire to the other. Use some magnets with leads (Magtrix are the ones I have) to connect the wires to the cells. The dowel plus screws goes into the charger. Also works for measuring capacity of larger cells with an AA/AAA only charger like the Angeleyes ones i have.

It takes a very long time to charge them that way - 10-12 hours for the 32600s I have.

Here's another one I made out of a dummy AA.

I would probably use the XTAR MP1 with a twisted paperclip for the + terminal. Might just work. The negative spring should do the trick.

They're the best... Lighthound gets most of my business. Longest time it ever took to get my stuff was 3 days.

As for solarforce sales, F 'em. Ordered on 1/11 and never did get the package. Paypal claim done. Never again.

I ordered the SS bezel B5 and SS lanyard ring and 2 14500 cells from them on sunday and i received the items today. they have reasonable prices and shipping price was'nt bad. i would order from them again.

Its the shipping that gets me. Other than that, I have no complaints. They're as fast as anybody, I just usually talk myself into spending $75 when I shouldn't.

I have placed a few orders through them and highly recommend them. I always grab some of their paracord/lanyard goodies when ordering too.

I can't remember if it is their special or closeout page, but one of them has lower prices when you add the item to your cart.

just realized last nite that the b5 bezel they sent was actually the b2. i contacted them by email and got a reply earlier saying that they had sent out the right part and to keep the original one they sent. I called them on the phone and somebody picked up right away to confrim that they had in fact sent the new correct item. Id say thats great customer service @ Lighthound.

I've been thinking about ordering a Solarforce body from them, it 9and they) get such great reviews.

Doesn't appear that they currently have any hi-performance drop-ins for the body, though.Am I just looking in the wrong place for the drop in on their site?

looks like they got 1 model in stock from thrunite https://www.lighthound.com/ThruNite-Cree-XM-L-drop-in-for-SureFire-and-others-3--9-Volts_p_3799.html

might want to try the ultrafire 3 mode from manafont.com http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/ultrafire-cree-t6-3mode-memory-led-dropin-module-42v-max-p-5178

They usually stock everything for P60 drop-ins from solarforce, thrunite, even nailbender (although its a lot cheaper to get the nailbender ones right from the source)

Thanks, I ordered the XM-L drop in off of Manafont; never used them before, curious how long it will be until it arrives.

I'll try it first in my old Pelican M6 Lithium, if it doesn't work in that I'll order the Solarforce l2 body from Lighthound.

I ordered a solarforce l2 from the source. solarforce-sales.com they have very good prices and shipping is only $2. it took them 10 days to get from HK to indiana.

Hope your not in a hurry. I've waited 4 to 5 weeks
