Cheapest price for a NW (Neutral White) Sky Ray King?

cnqualitygoods.com – $61.00 + $12.31 shipping = $73.31
www.lightmalls.com – $72.50 + free shipping = $72.50
fancyflashlights.com – $71.00 + free shipping = $71.00
hkequipment.net – $69.99 + free shipping = $69.99

The one from hkequipment actually sports T5 XM-Ls interestingly enough, but I want to stick with T6 3Cs.

I’m really leaning away from a purchase at these prices, being that we’re talking more than $15 extra over the best price on the CWs.

Has anyone seen NWs cheaper anywhere else?

Thanks Smile

EDIT: NW King is currently on special at Lightmalls for $56.50 shipped

I bought mine from Fancyflashlights/CNQG simply because I know if anything goes wrong, Ric will make it right.

That’s worth a dollar, maybe more. Smile

Yep, I just ordered one from him. Done. I think this is going to have to be my last flashlight for a while. This is a milestone for me too, because it’s the very first time that I’ve said that!

Tmart only stocks the CW version. The cheapest price on that model I found when I was searching around was $54.89 shipped from Lightmalls (for those who don’t like AliExpress).

The only thing that’s stopping me, is it’s High-Low-Strobe. If it was High-Med-Low I’d probably be all over it Sad

Anyone got a link to a driver swap how-to on that thing?? Would love four or five modes (candle light, moon light, low, med, high) Smile

It’s not really high-low-strobe in the traditional sense, rather it’s high-low with a hidden strobe. You probably already know that, but the clarification is for other would-be owners who read this.

My NW King arrived today*. But why in the world did I wait so long to get one? "I'm not sure I really want to get into multiple 18650 flashlights" I said to myself. "I don't really need that many lumens" I said to myself. "I don't want to make the rest of my collection seem less awesome" I said to myself. Well, screw all that nonsense. The Sky Ray King is everything this hobby is about.  It's seriously awesome.  Get one.

*After all my fussing over price, I ended up paying an extra 8 bucks to get it shipped via HK Speedpost so I could have it as soon as possible Wink

Hi-

I just was on Fancyflashlights site, and according to them they have a new batch of Kings in Black.
http://www.fancyflashlights.com/goods.php?id=442 A little more than the “gold” color but still the same light.

So it is $72.00 for a NW King. Sound reasonable, or not ? Thanks

Also-does the King ONLY take unprotected 18650’s? Or can I use protected ones? Saw somewhere that it only took unprotected
18650’s..

OK-one more question. I saw the Callies Kustom 18650’s in 3100mah,but they’re 68.8mm in PBC mode. Does anyone know if they’ll fit the King without any problems ? Thanks-thanks- thanks.

I’m running protected raised button top 18650s in it myself, and they are also precisely 68.8mm in length. So unless there is some variation amongst Sky Ray Kings, you should be fine.

$72.00 seems to be the average price for a NW King, and if you like black, fancyflashlights.com is the only choice.

Manafont is selling this now:

SKYRAY KING Mimic
for $ 43.90

Does the word ‘mimic’ suggest some kind of clone/copy???
It still has the skyray king logo on the head.

This thread is about the version of the Sky Ray King that comes with Neutral White (NW) LEDs. Some of us are prepared to pay more to get a warmer tint, and $61.70 is still the cheapest price I’ve seen.

go2tao

$43.73 for "yellow"(neutral)

and $39.60 for "White"

Here's the search

You would have to figure shipping. 405g=.450kg I would suspect for China Post, about $6-$10 and another couple bucks for using the agent. Probably $55 for neutral and $52 for cool white.

Can't swear to it, but it is another option.

Good work Old-Lumens!

I went through the ordering process just to see what they would come back with, and:

I actually meant to get a quote for the NW version, but I must have clicked the wrong link. Anyway, this should give everyone else a better idea. About an extra 5 bucks or so for agent fees and HK post (to Australia, anyway). Didn’t take them long to get back to me either. Almost suspiciously cheap.

If only I needed 2 Sky Ray Kings. But I don’t.

(might be hesitant though, after running through some worst case scenarios in my head involving faults and returns)

EDIT: I neglected to read the following:

“Read before payment: each order need pay for two times, First payment is for products cost+demestic shipping+agent fee , Second payment is for international shipping cost. Visit How to order? if you are new user. please estimate international shipping cost in advance to avoid the shipping cost exceed your budget. Thanks.”

Going by the international shipping estimator, we’d be looking at an additional 9-15 US dollars. I think it’d still come in cheaper than $61.70 for the NW version (which is Lightmalls price) but not by much.

You’re talking about the cool white versions of this light. This thread is about the neutral white version. Specifically, the one that comes with T6 3C LEDs. I’ve edited the thread title to make it clearer Smile

Yes, as I said in the thread I made about this. I will never buy leds and drivers from normal sellers again, unless I have to. I bought all my leds at less than half of the going price and they are so light weight, that shipping is nothing. I also found tints that I couldn't find anywhere else.

Sorry OP, didn't mean to tromp on the thread.

I ordered one from ebay a week ago. Every third BLF thread — it seemed — was sky ray king this and sky ray king that, and I wouldn’t take being left out of the SRK club any longer.

I went with this seller because of his extremely high feedback. And that he has the “original,” as there has been some discussion back and forth on BLF about the 2000 lumen one perhaps being less bright than the original ones. Yes, his “5000 lumens” obviously uses the famous Chinese lumen rating system, which involves multiplying the real lumens by the Chinese lumen integer. Wink

Regardless of that, his feedback is just fabulous and most of what he sells appears to be lights with many happy customers. His one bad feedback is from some yokel who didn’t see the shipping charges.

Might be a couple bucks more, but I have a STRONG feeling by this vendor’s feedback that he checks everything before shipping.

I know not everyone shares my luck with ebay, but I have far better luck on ebay with highly rated sellers than the web-site light dealers.

Of course, I did just get a phone battery instead of a mini-01 from one ebay seller ….. Hmmmmm.

5000 lumens. 5000/3 = 1666 lumen per LED.

May be they use another lumen unit.. Silly like audio equipments with PMPO watts rating..

And I say in my experience some people really trust these lumen outputs.

Hello everyone :

It took almost 3 weeks, but I got my SRK in NW from fancyflashlights. It’s an awesome light especially for the price. I paid more for the batteries and the Intellicharger than I did for the King. I bought 4 18650’s from Calles Kustoms. I am like everyone else-I’m looking for my next “last” flashlight. My only “criticism” about fancyflashlights was that the SkyRay was just wrapped in a piece of cardboard with tape wrapped around it. No bubble wrap-no protection at all. It works fine, and the 18650’s from Calles are great. So I’m on my next conquest. My next “last” light. Have a great one folks…

Just a lurker who has benefitted from the knowledge here and needs to give some small thing back. For anyone who hasn’t already purchased, the NW version is now as low as $56:
