Costco 3 pack 200 Lumen XP-G now $14.99

I have bought a couple packs of these light, gave one to my family and kept one at my apartment, great little lights, especially for the price. Every time I use one I am impressed by it.

+1, for the money they are pretty nice. XP-G emitter that will impress your average non-flashaholic.

That is nice. I wish the shops in Denmark would wise up. As it is now it seems that onely the shops where one of the employees "has seen the light" so to speak sells a wider variety of led based lighting solutions be it mobile or fixed.

One thing that made me wonder by the way. It says on the 2,5W bulbs that the yearly cost to operate is only 0,30 $.

What is that price based on? I mean how many hours/day and what is the price of 1KW from the utility company.

The usual numbers are around 3 hours a day and $0.11 per kwh. I have converted my rather large house to all LED bulbs (see My adventures in LED home lighting) and am seeing around $40-$60 a month drop in the electric bill. Add to that the fact that I have only replaced one bulb in the last year, and no more blown dimmers.

Also, beware of those Lights of America bulbs. I think it was Home Depot that carried some of their PAR30 type bulbs. They were made of lots of 5mm LEDs in an array. They had a horrendous failure rate. The FTC sued them... http://www.ledsmagazine.com/news/7/9/6

Thanks for the info. I think Costco still sell that brand of LED bulbs in their warehouses, just not for the PAR30 type.

EDIT: The PAR30 LED bulbs are from FEIT Electric in Costco.

:D Neat, thanks! Looks like I'll be making a trip down to Costco soon. :)

Edited to add: Why do the eneloops have two different colors?

If I had a Costco around me I would do the same. Those little torches are pretty incredible for the money. My brothers have some and showed them to me. Really impressive output and build. The switches on them have great feel and the knurling is fantastic. Not easy to mod as the lens is press fit into the bezel but no need to mod either. Great little lights!

I was wondering about the eneloop colors too.

I picked up a pack of these Techlites as well. Nice lights for cheap. Planning on using one or two to try some modding on.

That seems like a great price on eneloop’s? I think I paid $6.00 for 2 if i remember correctly.

edit - just notice I hit the big 150 total posts on this one!!! Woot……lol

I couldn't agree more. They're crap. I bought two sets of the "Lights of America" 3 pack globes. They have a TERRIBLE 60hz flicker.

I had heard that these Flashlights at Costco are good but have light/LED glow of some sort on the tail end (to indicate battery level I believe) that was parasitic on the batteries. Maybe I’m recalling incorrectly. Anyone that has one know?

the new ones are ok i heard, they got rid of the blinking red low battery indicator light, so parasitic drain shouldn’t be as bad now. i got the original ones with that red light switch, and it ate through the 3AAAs in 2months, when the batteries are low the electronic switch prevents the light from turning on

New ones are fine, I returned the old ones for a refund!

Welcome to the forum, ChiggerPepi!

Damn I bought one on ebay for $10.00 shipped …. Well at least I got the Duracell batteries included…

We’ll I was with my wife at Costco last night and was able to pick up the eneloops (great deal). Couldn’t find the flashlights, but that’s o.k. as we already had too much in the cart.

I did notice something interesting with the batteries, they just say min 1900mah. I thought they were 2000 mah? Then if you look at the amazon product page (link) it claims 2000 mah in the description, but read notes on some of the user/purchaser photos it shows that “min 1900mah” on some, and one claims the blue ones are blue because of the year made.

One photo also claims a way you can tell if they’re real sanyo eneloops or counterfeit ones. Some info for the curious…

That is just a packaging difference. They are the same batteries as Eneloops always have a "average" capacity of 2000 ma and min of 1900.

Ok, that’s totally funny, where did you find that pic?
