Yes bladeforums is just like CPF but worse. The mods there are just as bad and most of the forum is elitist and snide. A few years ago they ran off many good members and left a lot of trash. Like CPF, it is so big that there are a lot of decent people but the “mover and shakers” are mostly trash who have no lives. I left BF after seeing how they treated people. Actually got a lifetime ban for no reason any mod would ever disclose. I asked but they didn’t know or wouldn’t tell me. I was a paying member as well.
My advice is never to pay CPF or BF. In fact, there are several knife forums set up who hate BF and were formed in much the same way as BLF. There is a backlash against both sites for mostly the same reasons. Once BF and CPF are gone, the Internet will be a better place.
Need to add registered mail as well, $2. Aliexpress is almost 99% registered, coz escrow sort of requires that (else you raise a case and they are screwed). It’s all factored into the overall costs of coz, but as you can see sometimes you do get gems.
BTW, does this work? 10000 grit. I am not anal or want to get a polished surface….just finish with 10k and that’s it. The Taidea 8000 grit is too expensive! (maybe it’d be faster, but i am not finishing a lot of knives)
The Leen looks really good but it’s a little short for my hand. I wonder if it’s really 440C?
Is the best price people have found at Aliexpress for $13.50. It appears that as a new company, the two versions of this knife are all that they have so far.
And there is only 3 different Inron knives in aliexpress shops.
For Leen there is 2 different knives (quite similar): 1201 and 1203. One model with G10 or steel handle: respectively 1203-1 and 1203-2 .
I strongly believe that the greatest item to sharp a razor is a leather strop with diamond paste. If you want to save money and buy a very fine grit sharpener, you can use rectified glass.
