This is entirely false. Further, he was clearly implying that there was some sort of collusion between CNQG/fancyflashlights and BLF, which there isn’t.
I don’t deny that there are problems with his Kings. Nor do I deny that there is a problem with yours. I was simply responding to the ignorant conspiratorial ramblings that made up a significant portion of his post. In other words, there are two aspects to this: 1) a faulty product and 2) faulty reasoning. I’m sure Ric will do his best to resolve the former, but it was important for someone to address the latter as well.
Don’t worry too much rwmj5. I know it’s a drag getting a faulty light, and knowing that it will probably take some time to get the situation rectified (been there myself). But Ric takes customer service seriously. I’m sure he will look after you.

Im new to the hobby,but as with anything, bad stuff will happen from time to time,it shouldnt,but does.
Quality control and bench testing is getting less and less in this want it yesterday world.Test one in every hundred,rather than them all.Bad Customer service is almost std these days.Every Tom,Dick and Harry can sell whatever to whoever if they have a computer.Bad service used to come with cheepo items.The old adige,you get what you paid for,dosent now always apply.What i mean is,if somethings much cheeper at one place than another.Thers usually a reason,they have had to cut cost on product or production,ther dodgie,or when its so cheep any reasonable person should know its a scam
Unfortunetly,you can pay top dollar nowdays and still get problems,bad service,and no customer service.
Then thers the small world senario.Items once bought down your street/locally/town/county/country are now not even bought on the same continent.Which brings another set of complications.
Dont care for bitching,just solutions to the problem realy.Seems all have the same sorta problem here or similar.Dont know why everyone just cant help eachother along and get it nailed n sorted.Makes complete sence to me.The way you conduct yourself doesnt have tobe rant and rave,fling mud about.That can wait.Thers more than one way to skin a cat.Lifes to short and thers always someone worse off than you.

If you have a problem with a custom light give the seller and member whom we know well
a chance to look at the problem and address it. What are you attempting to accomplish by
bad mouthing the entire purchase? I don’t need to speak for the seller. Seems like most that are complaining have little reputation other than a few posts. After a formal complaint why not just
keep the pie hole shut (in regards to bad mouthing and unjustified claims).

Pardon me, WTF are you talking about? I shared an experience about a product I received based on this thread, and I asked a specific question about the attributes of the standard unit because I do not own one myself, while specifically stating that I was not out to condemn the seller in any way. I also attempted to separate the fact that while the poster on CPF may be complaining about things which are way off base in regards to the seller, his complaints about the actual unit itself may very well be justified, and don’t disregard legitimate concerns about the units themselves just because a post may have had an off-tangent rant about the buying process etc. If three out of the three units we know of thus far have significant issues, there is the chance that there were systemic problems with this entire batch. Hopefully it doesn’t turn out that way but this is the only info we have right now.
Wow if someone seems overly emotionally sensitive over any statement which even gives the hint of appearing to ding a seller or their products in any way, it would appear to be yourself. So brave of you to apologize in the beginning of your post by the way. The community needs a leader in times like these and who better to speak for the forum than someone who has been a member for nearly 3 full months.
Unlike on CPF where you tend to hang out we do not judge people based on how long they have been here. People are judged based on their actions. There are some people here who have over 2000 posts and have been here for over a year that are not good leaders. Then there are others like Darkside who are well respected despite not having been here for very long.

Hi, first of all I don’t even have an account on CPF so I’m not sure what you’re talking about. Second, I don’t care about any sort of inter-flashlight forum bickering you seem to be hinting at. “Well thats the way we do things HERE and over there, theyre a bunch of jerks.” Just don’t care. There was a post about black skyrays on CPF, someone asked to see it, and I posted it.
Account age was only brought up solely because he made comments specifically implying that the number of posts would determine the validity of claims people were making.
Oh yeah- and he was calling people bitches. Truly the voice of reason.

I wanted a black skyray king. I googled black skyray king. This thread came up. I ordered the light. It came yesterday. The head rattles in a way I’m not comfortable with and the switch doesnt work. I sign up for an account and ask if anyone else’s head rattles, and to see if anyone else got their light. I point to a link on CPF which I found by again googling black skyray king, because the only other person to have received his light thus far says he is having problems with both units. People don’t like the CPF posting because it bashes the seller and the posting is subsequently deleted. People begin lumping me in with the CPF forum posting for some reason and people start calling people bitches. People go off on some conspiracy theorist tangent and start snickering about how I’m some plant from CPF or thats where I hang out and this is another account of some former poster from this site.
Anything else is all your own overactive imaginations. I know this whole creating an account and asking a question when you have a problem thing is blowing your minds. I’ll remember to create an account months ahead of time and grow it slowly and carefully in the future so you don’t have to experience the shock of a stranger asking why his light appears to be broken.
