very budget thrower (300 meters + distance) for under $50

Are there any in the market?

Please list the link on where to buy if any so that if any other BLF members are interested the info is there.

300 meters = 22500 lux ANSI
or
300 meters = 90000 lux ( 1 lux @ 1 meter )

Battery?
Size?

STL-V2 = 45k - 50k ANSI
HD-2010 , Small Sun ZY-T08 , ZY-T13 , ZY-T16 + some mod

? :~ No Way. Absolutely NOT a thrower. Pure Flooder.

I get pretty close, if not over 300 yards with the HD2010 .

I highly doubt the 502b with an MC-E can throw anywhere near the distance of a dedicated thrower like even a C8 or especially the HD. Am I missing something?

That’s what I meant.

The Small Sun ZY-T13 for $24. Untouchable!

Maybe the Small Sun ZY-C10-S ?

$2.88 over. Not really a thrower, but bright enough that it doesn’t matter.

+1 This is a must have!!

Don’t forget the FandyFire STLV6. In my honest assessment of what I have to work with here where I live, I think it’s a legit 350yd thrower. It will out throw probably all those listed here so far with maybe the exception of the HD-2010. And you got some good choices given so far. And the Jacob A60 for the money of less than $15 shipped will probably be the best bang for your throw period. From what I have seen, it will beat the Small Sun ZY-C10S for throw no question in my mind or by my camera. But if it were me for less than $50 I would get the FandyFire STL-V6.

And if you want the best XM-L bang for your throw the Small Sun ZY-T13 is the way to go. But it won’t out throw the STL-V6. But for about half the price, I know of no other XM-L flashlight that will touch it for money in value, brightness, perfect beam, or throw. I like it so much that I have 2.

My furthest throwing thrower is my HS-802, definitely can do 300 meters, depending of course on ambient light. Pitch dark open yes, in an urban lit environment no.

But really anything 300 meter’s away you’ll be needing binoculars to see the narrow spotlight the HS-802 puts out. A really good thrower thrower is the C8 XP-G it has a larger more useful hotspot for long distance. Also my Romisen RC-T601 throws just a bit better than my C8 XM-L due to better smoother reflector machining, though not quite as good as my C8 XP-G with it’s tighter more focused hotspot.

Small Sun ZY-T13 is awesome, if you remove the white centering ring the beam gets smaller for even better throw, the driver can also be modified for more current.

I take it a thrower is a light that casts its beam a far distance?

skyray stl-v2 is 43$ shipped registered at fancyflashlights…

Yes.

You must have the link wrong. I have that exact light and while I use it all the time, it’s not a thrower. If it wasn’t raining tonight I’d go try it again side by side with a few others.

The Small Sun T13 - I side with JMax and ChiX . I just recieved it and hands down the best $24.00
you can spend. Its well underdriven, i see serious potential with a swap of the driver. less than $30.00 and you have a great mid size thrower. As good or better than name brand version.

Which driver would you recommend? The Small Sun T13 seems like a good choice. Best bang for buck so far. I have the Trustfire X8 and it’s an amazing performer. Windering if there would be significant difference between the two. Can the X8 be driven even harder?

The XT11 isn’t much of a thrower though, it’s probably the most floody light in its class. So I’m not sure using it as a throw benchmark is all that meaningful.

You must not have tried a thrower  the reflector dimensions mean it cannot be classed as a thrower.

Best small cheap light I have that can be classed as a thrower is the UltraOK, I believe it’s a MRV clone, it’s up there with my SF MPP1 and almost with the Crelant 7G5 for distance, obviously much less light due to the emitter but can be seen at 300m.

I don’t have one but if I was buying now I’d go with the Fandyfire STL-V6 as ILF says.
