Is it a copy, because of the name SKYRAY KING “Mimic”?
But it looks original.
Very cheap price!

hopefully it’s the same…i’d grab one at that price…

I’m seriously tempted on ordering this but is it worth the risk for sake of $15?? Might just pull the trigger!Iv wanted a King for a while.

Actually, the next cheapest price for a King is $51 from Lightmalls, making the difference a mere $7.10.

No reason to risk it over a few dollars. The real King is such a nice light that even at $80 it is still a good buy. You can get a real King for $60 anywhere and it is one of those lights you just have to own.

53 at kaidomain, and black King is around 60$ on cnqualitygoods, wich is also great price

Ecig you own one for yourself?

it takes 4x 18650, that's a lot! :O

Does anybody else think this is an no-name version of the King? Sure looks like it.

I believe it is like the original, but I would pay the extra bucks for the black one instead.

I thought Manafont was a trustworthy website. Has anyone received any kind of fake from there?

Yeah I own it.
Guess where I bought it from  (for 52 nd few cents)
4-cell but its still pocketable  (in some sizey jacket pocket) And its strong.

Its nice flashlight, but I do not use it almost at all. (In fact I dont use flashlights in general so often, just bike light 502b T6, keychain light Tank E09, bed-light, Ultrafire H1(?), and when I go around the house at night, first I ge my hand on).
Its just for showing. I like it though, switch is ergonomic and good. Maybe Ill sell gold one than Ill buy black, with some encription. God Bless the U.S.A. or something like that

And it is. They even have great live chat, with agents actuall ysolving your problems (unlike Dinodirect robots)

Manafont are explicitly stating that it’s a copy of the Sky Ray King. That’s why they’ve used the word “mimic” in the description. They did the same thing with their fake Eneloops.

So yes, they do sell “fake” products, but they are up front about it.

None of this necessarily means that this particular Sky Ray King clone is inferior though. It could turn out to be every bit as good. That’s just the way the budget flashlight game is sometimes.

In one of the photos of the “mimic” you can see the Sky Ray King logo.

If I was the genuine manufacturer of Sky Ray I’d be pretty p**d off!

That would be a slippery slope given that some Sky Ray branded lights are themselves copies of other products. The Sky Ray SR-5 (Seraph SP-6 clone) for example. Even the King itself is heavily “inspired” by the Nitecore TM11.

But I guess making a clone as well as stealing the name is going one step further.

I really don’t think that Chinese manufacturers care about any of this though, nor do I think that “Sky Ray” is necessarily even a company anyway.

Does this light have visible PWM on the modes? Thanks!

High mode is fine but low mode has 200 hz PWM.

That's low but better than Tank E09 (which everyone knows is the only flashlight kresil talks about haha). E09 has 180 Hertz.

Does anybody want to be the guinea pig for the SR King Mimic?

I think you are right in both cases!
