SOLD - Modified Solarforce L2, Extended, with a Nichia 219, Four 2/3A NiMH, charging port.

Up for sale is a Solarforce L2. It was new, before I modded it. It has the extension on it and the long style tail cap. It also comes with the regular tail cap.

Please check this thread, so you know more about the mod.

It has a battery pack consisting of Four 2/3A NiMH batteries. It has a charging port and must be charged in the light. You cannot take out the pack, you can't take the P60 Drop-in out. If you try, it will mess up. It needs to be charged with a "universal charger, or a hobby charger", capable of charging a 4.8 volt battery pack.

It has a NANJG 105c linear driver pushing 2 amps on high. The driver was flashed by E1320 to have 5 modes. It has a Nichia NVSL219AT-H1 4500K, 92 CRI, B10 Bin led on an XP-G star.

Please remember, before buying. You can't remove the battery pack, nor can you remove the P60 Drop-in. You need a hobby or universal charger to charge the pack.

I will include the male plug for the charging port. You will need to wire that plug up. Center post is positive, outer ring is negative.

You get the L2, extension, two tail caps and the charging plug.

Ok, I’ll take it… you evil high-CRI geezer

You got it.

Thanks!

What a deal!

It’s here. It’s very nice. Has some good heft to it… almost club-worthy.

Gotta love those Nichia LEDs. I think that I will mod my shop magnifier to use them instead of the 3 x fluorescent tubes it has now… thinking about using 9 of them in it.

What capacity were those NiMH cells? Are they LSD?

The Solarforce tail caps don’t seem to be very mode-change friendly. It’s kind of hard to get reliable mode changes out of them. The E1320 drivers like to do their mode changes with double taps. Maybe some practice will help.

The cells are 1200 mah, supposedly high discharge RC cells "Elite". Not LSD.

I don't know about the tail caps. The large one, I sort of liked, since it has a soft click. I don't care for the hard, loud clicky or even the maglite clicky. I got used to the mode switch fairly quickly with the soft click, but I still have trouble with E1320's mode switching with a maglite.

Hope you enjoy the light. I know you will enjoy the Nichia.
