It’s a flashlight forum, I don’t see where any bad language is necessary. People might have this pulled up on their screen with kids around, spouses, parents, bosses, employees, or other people and it just isn’t necessary. Maybe they’ll get away from the screen with something pulled up when a kid goes to get on the computer. We shouldn’t have to look over our shoulders.

The best thing you can do for the Admin and to avoid BLF ever having moderators is to moderate yourself and if someone asks, just change your post. Mr. Admin shouldn’t have to get involved, so waiting for him to say something is making him do work he shouldn’t have to. And don’t take it personally if someone asks you to change something. It’s no big deal.

Well said, sir. PM is the way to go. The rest of us are not interested in seeing a protracted argument over (usually) semantics, especially when it gets personal. People are much more likely to change if it's not done in a public manner.

Just wanted to let you know that I am also another victim of the Dino Direct SCAM.

I Ordered something (76328982-DD), waited 6 months and eventually the item never arrived and complained and they gave me a credit.

Ordered the same stuff again, 6 months later order didn’t arrive, now they say they aren’t going to give me anything because I took too long to report it.

What a scam, how they can get a way with taking your money and giving you nothing for it is beyond me.

I would advise everyone to stay away and not believe all the reviews they write themselves.

I am getting worried…2 of my items from DD have yet to arive…When to start launching dispute?

i was looking at this fenix tk45 the price is really low. should i risk ordering it or look elsewhere?? if the latter does anyone know a link??

Open a dispute before the 45 day mark, I will usually do it around 40 days so I don’t forget.

Just explain you are only opening it until you item arrives to protect yourself and then escalate it to a claim before the cut off date, I cant actually remember how long after you file a dispute it gives you but it will tell you when you do it.

Its buyers responsibility not to let oneself to be scammed, pay with PayPal when possible, keep in mind 45 days term, if your PayPal’s buyer protection window is coming to a close, then open up dispute in PayPal and get your money back or get yourself gift card that equals or perhaps slightly exceeds amount of money you spent with them.
Always worked for me.

As for Sukun - its hard to believe that you waited 6 months and then re-ordered and then waited another 6 months and then reported it to DinoDirect customer service that item never arrived, year, right…

As a relative new enthusiast.It simply Amazes me, WHY, people even contemplate useing this supplier .Perhaps im missing something here or perhaps im the only one on the thread that isnt.

I have been buying from DD the last 6 months. Yes, shipping is slow (with some fast exceptions) but all of my orders (about two dozens so far) have been safely delivered.

A month a go they sent me a wrong flashlight (olight i3 instead iTP A3). For those that know, the lights are very very similar…
Soon after my claim and the related email documentation they issued me a gift card of almost the same value as my order and i got to keep the flashlight.

I believe that this settlement was fair enough from their part and i appreciated their good will.

As long as there is true goodwill, i can understand and be patient with an unfortunate event, every so often, from any supplier, especially if a company delivers thousands of items daily.

I am a flashlight collector and DD has saved me alot of money with its special offers and coupon discounts, especially on expensive items. I have to acknowledge this.

This was my very first time ordering on DD. Ill wait about 40 daysish and open a dispute. Seriously, if it takes that long, Im sure im not going to be buying from them unless its something I cannot get elsewhere or its a hell of a deal.

I reread my post earlier and didnt mean in any way any disrespect to anyone unfortunate enough tobe in the ludicrus position with DD.As i mean no disrespect now also.As i said though,as a relative new pair of eyes.They,DD, standout like A SORE THUMB or seem to be a herbitual offender.Call me oldfashioned,but I cant beleive anyone uses them.Simply isnt the point that some people have been fortunate to have had good service or make excuses that ther a big company,have great deals .The point is that some have been blatantly given the run around and some say lost ther money or goods.Fairplay to anyone who may defend them,thats kewl,but next time it maybe YOU being hoodwinked.
I wont be useing them untill ther house is in order,thers usually a reason somethings much,much cheaper……Poor at best service/goods.

t ever used the paypal dispute / claim button it seems very stressfull dealing with most of these companies ...I laugh at all the strees i've endured when dealling with semmingly absolute idiots (usually ebay sellers ) who suddenly don't speak any engrish after the sale /Prior to the sale ..perfect english ..

truth is after hitting the claim button 96% of the money was zip back in my pocket in a matter of seconds

Also if paypal offers to make it good don't say it's a matter of principle and try to get the money from the company ...just take the money and get on with life ..Paypal also has lots of our money :P

I had a few orders go awry with DD but they have either made it right or PP refunded me the money. The reason I bought from them was because they had prices that were much lower than anywhere else. I got a UF-2100 for $9 shipped a few back. Wish I had bought a few more of them. I got my Sky-Ray King from them for $62 shipped and am happy. Back around January, they had all sorts of great deals and I am still using those lights.

what you pay for applies for all Chinese vendors.
Up to now I had two orders from DD - both were shipped in 2-3 days and arrived in Toronto
after 4-5 weeks.
I have lot of orders from other Chinese web stores - Focal Price,Deal Extreme,KD,Priceangels…
With all of them you will get refund/new order or your money from PP (just got
a replacement from FocalPrice for a couple of 18650’s originally ordered in June).
Sometimes an order will arrive as little as 9-10 days (FP) or as much as 40+ days (FP again).
Rule of thumb for all of them - do not order multiple items together and don’t order
if you need an item fast.Check a week after an order is placed and contact CS in plain
English.If an item has not arrived by 40th day - PP is your friend.Although
I had items resend even after the PP time limit (both DX and FP).
All these stores offer good prices , but don’t expect exemplary CS and fast shipping.
If that is the most important - go with a reputable US /EU vendor , but with higher prices.
It’s a give and take situation. I would go with lower prices :slight_smile:

I have usd 269 worth of order from *Amazon.com *and they still have not arrived, ordered on July 9th. It’s Sep 26th now 2.5 months later, and there is no paypal. :frowning:

They told me that I have to wait till Oct 3rd.
