XM-L's are coolish, but not quite neutral. So that's a T5 bin for the neutrals and a T3 for the warm whites. That's pretty nice. I'd be all over a T5 neutral.
I think it's sad that they introduce a new emitter with all the bad tints first .. The green tints are the worst for me ..A tint can ruin a light for me ..I think the XRE emitters were much better at color . Glad to hear this pretty quickly compared to the xpg
They always come out with the cool tints first. I think those are the easiest to make and get good brightness from. Then as they tweak them, they start producing neutrals and warms. The XP-G's were the same way.
Just wonder if they sell the cheaper stuff to china and save the best for last knowing there will be a market for it no matter what the efficiency is as long as it's pretty ,,<< at this point I'll trade efficiency or runtime for tint ...I can buy more batteries of charge up a few more times .. I really can't swap emmitters .. (I can /I won"t )
I'm impressed with a well driven nice tint xpg and a 14500.. i'm curious if an underdriven xml with a nice tint will work well with a 14500
