Anybody seen these at walmart?
They have 2 different versions, one is a white top, made in japan, with a 1400mah capacity.
Other one is greenish/black with 1500mah rated IIRC, made in china.
Was about to buy them expecting the white top japanese ones to be re-branded eneloops, but the 1400mah rating kinda threw me off.
I've bought the Energizer Pre-charged 2300mAh (green tops) and they have performed very well. I tested mine and the capacity was true (around 2300mAh) though I can only test at 500mA discharge. Walmart sells them as well as Lowes.
Ok, well I had a 20 dollar gift card at Best Buy, so I picked up a pack to test ’em out.
Here’s a pic:
I tested it with my friends discharger at 500ma, and it showed a capacity of 1480mah, so the rating is pretty close.
The packaging said batteries made in japan for energizer on the back, and it has a white top, so I figured it was an eneloop.
But do they even make 1400mah eneloops? Also, the button on the top has no vent holes, do eneloops typically have them there?
They weren’t really that cheap, the 2300mah ones were just 2 dollars more, but they were made in china.
I was kinda hoping they would just be eneloops, because I’m having a hard time finding duraloops/eneloops anywhere in town.
I don't think my 2300's were made in China. Just buy the 2300's. 1400mAh just isn't worth buying I unless really cheap and/or for low draw devices. If you want cheap batteries with 1600mAh buy the Harbor freight green NiMh's rated "2000mAh".
They are 1400mah for sure. I recently thought they were rebranded eneloops too. They look like this right? The 1500x is a very eneloopy thing to say and they’re made in japan too.
Anyway here’s the thread I started about it.
But yeah, they have a 1400 mah stamped on the side.
