Pink Streamlight nano

hey guys, I did a write up on my wife's streamlight nano. Its a nice keychain light for a girl/lady...

Oh I nearly didn't notice what the Nano was ballancing on in the last photo, very nice indeed.

:)

yep, thats my rainbow tritium keychain, I was lucky enough to get one while iknitsteel were still making them. It looks pretty but it's actually not that bright.

Does anyone know of a rechargeable Li-Ion size that would fit in one of these? They fun lights and super small, but futzing around with coin cells all the time isn't that appealing.

If those are LR44 cells then a 10280 might work. But you have a nominal 6V versus a nominal 3.7. But...

The high internal resistance of the cells may be all that is preventing the LED from burning itself out.

They're direct driving a 5mm LED, so it should be fine.

Depends on the LED - I've killed a white 5mm LED with a 4.2V cell.

It runs on LR41 batteries which are thinner than LR44. I think your stuck with button cells for this one...

If they are sleeved, as many button cell lights are, it may be possible to get a 10180 in there - 4 LR41s are 14.4mm high and 7.9mm in diameter. If there are springs and a sleeve it might fit.

thanks for the heads up...

I just tried, but no luck. The diameter of the streamlight nano body is pretty much the same diameter as the 10180 battery.

You know you really should but one of these in it :)

I hadn't realised they even made pink LED's, that's mostly what I love about eBay you search for something and find completely random other things.
