Hmm...That gives me an idea!

Awesoooome :)

Loved the design by the way

It is funny because the last few days I was thinking about how can I "join" 3-4 P60 hosts together for 3k+ lumens. And you designed the solution :)

Great solution. And it should cost like a dollar to make those. They could just be stamped out.

That is cool. Three XMLs together like that would be quite a site. I would definetly buy that.

It should be possible to make something like that with just hand tools. Myself I'd want the hotspots to come together at around 30-50 metres. Must go looking for some suitable metal....

Nice way for joining them. My idea was to make 2 rubber triangles with u shaped cuts at each corner to fit the flashlights. Then velcro strapped together. Also a rear contraption resembling a cone shaped "cork" to aid the focusing of the heads. To power them i tought to use

3 of those:

http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/ultrafire-pressure-switch-tail-part-replacement-30cm-p-5000 and cut back the pressure switch and join the wires to a good switch mounted somewhere in the rubber.

Might be made easily at home with a sharp knife and little patience providing you have the rubber at hand...

I plan to make a similar setup with three of these. Maybe a light belt with some number more :)

I wish I could do something like that with CS5. That is so cool.

Kokopelli, the link isn't valid. What are they?

Duct tape them  Faster and chiper $) Just kiddin.

Seriously, I like that prototype :) But, should all three lights be at equal distances from each other?

I was trying to make it as small as possible, with the top light as close to the bottom two as they are to each other there would be no space for your hand to hold the top light.

Well no space for my big hands anyway :P

Hey Pook, you got a prototype built yet for us to try?

Wow! That's very impressive Pook! Just don't forget us little folk when you become rich and famous.

The next one you design should look like the barrel of a gatling gun. Cool

I corrected the link. These I mean:

Spacing for the handle is neat, but as long as the metal plates are sanded on the edges to prevent cutting of hand, and the gap is big enough. ALternatively, may be possible to just hold the whole thing if it was more compact.

Regardless, Its a cool concept, and creates more room for your protected cells!!

Solarforce should have these made and give them away because they would make people buy 3 flashlights instead of 1.

I'll have to give that another go, there are several local engineering firms but they seem a little backward. Last time I tried they stared at me like I was a visitor from the future.

Do you have these blueprints in vectors? CorelDraw, or similar? Or are them scaled already?

Thought of cutting these prints in a vinil plotter, glueing them to 3mm black PVC(have a lot of it laying around) and then just shaping it.

Don't have 3 equal L2, nor 3 dropins of the same LED, but it should be fun to have a R2, XPG, XML all blasting at once in a L2M, L2P and a L2X. (the latest has a shorter rear conector than the first 2)

If it all fails, the all-fixing-all-bonding-duck-tape, will always work.

Should be a fun project!

7- tank 566's.. three yellow rubber bands ..1 and 1/4 pound flashlight 1400 lumens OTF easy as pie ..7x5modes = 35 mode or 7x5x5=175 variations,

What are the holes on top for ???

Nice that solarforce is a standard to work with .

How about semi-flexible rubber like O-rings or nylon.?

Chrome ??

Stainless?

Titainium ?

Leather ? In a festive red .with bells on it ?

Plastic ?.. One word son .......Plastics !!!

Para-cord?

Hemp????

Teak ?

Plastic center triangle and the velco strap ?

Duct tape/liquid nails /Bondo ?
