Just bought Maelstrom X10 from the GoingGear sale - my first 26650 flashlight.
What would be considered the equivalent of Sanyo or Panasonic cells in this size ?
Does anybody have experience with these

I'm not sure about the first one, but the last two are good if you get legitimate Trustfire cells. The King Kong isn't protected.
26650 is not “standard” cell size, so there isn’t a lot of choice.
However, HKJ deemed this cell good/acceptable.
The KEYGOS ones look a little shady, because 4800mAh and IMR don’t go hand in hand. Probably the capacity is exaggerated.

Whatever you do, avoid the Ultrafire 26650.
These ones Here claim to have “Imported Samsung cell”. I remember reading something similar , but for 18650 size - nothing for 26650 size.
I think you should stop looking for deals and stick with cells that have been tested and recommended. This thread might help. I'm not aware of the MarsFire or Keygos being tested. If you do find a brand you want, stick to vendors that supplied them for testing.
Don’t get the Keygos, I did, and while they work fine others have tested them and gotten <3000mAh, would be better with the 3100 and 3400mAh Panny cells.
yeah those Keygos or Marsfire are not going to produce the mAh as they advertise... overrated capacity.

I would just get the King Kongs (KK) or 4/7s brand. I recently bought some KKs from KumaBear (here). haven't received them yet
Currently I use the King Kong ICR26650E unprotected cells. Purchased mine from CNQuality/FancyFlashlights. I also have the TrustFire 5000mAh protected cell, also from FancyFlashlights as part of the A8 combo with light and charger. Both of these are very good batteries and I've been pleased with there performance, as they typically give me well over 2 hours run time, most of that on High or Medium. I also have two King Kong/Keepower protected raised tops on the way from Kumabear.
Not looking for rock bottom deals - but proven quality , with a brand name cell inside , if possible.
When it comes to Li-Ion batteries - no deal , regardless how good it looks ,is worth a
possible disaster.The MarsFire looked interesting as it claims to be built on a Samsung cell.
