I was hoping it would go well, as I thought it would give many people an option for being creative with logos, names or graphics, on smooth body lights. I do not believe this could be done over knurling or anything like that, but any smooth section could be done. It will just take some practice. The tape I bought was 2" tape, but it comes in all widths and a small roll is not too expensive, especially if you can get free shipping. Overseas might be harder to get.
I worked part time in a sign shop, here in Tyler. I know the owner could do it for me, but… well you know how I feel about that. For anyone else, it’s a viable alternative. I really considered it after the second screw up, but I just bit the proverbial bullet and figured I had a 50/50 chance on the third time. Either a charm, or strike out.
Justin, I love your work, not only is the attention to detail staggering but its a true non flashaholic light too. I could happily pass this too a family member and know they have not only a good light but a beautiful one too.
Let me be the proud first to call this build thread back.
I wasn’t here when this happened but I wish I was. Justin, you are an inspiration to so many people here. Thank you for mentioning this thread and firing up the flashaholartist (Trademark that) in us all. I had not seen it until today. I wish I had joined BLF way sooner than I did. As you know we are all here to support you with prayers, well-wishes, thoughts and all things positive as you go through something so difficult. Stay strong brother.
