New Ultrafire flashlight: UF-T1

NightCrawl can you contact the manufacturer and confirm voltage. Kaidomain states max 2.7v, manafont AAA battery, DX 1.2 to 1.5v and ultrafire shop UltraFire 10440,AAA size x 1

I think this light is aluminium and not Titanium

Looks like all the same light w/ xp-e despite claim of “R5” or xt-e.

Could well be Ti since it’s made en masse.

I doubt it is Ti. None of the pics have the look of Ti but rather of aluminum to my eye. Also, there are lots of small AAA lights out there, what’s special about this? I’m assuming it isn’t real titanium.

fatlokwok has a Ti Olight and says this is also Ti.

BTW, fatlokwok, do you have a DMM to test current draw?

Low 50 mA DC
High 415 mA or 0.415 A DC

1.2 V Ni-MH battery

Optimised for 10440

Or alkalines. Higher draw (>>1A) from a AAA kills them dead in a few min. I would like to know if anyone finds 10440’s to fit in these though (or if 10440’s work at all). Seems like the blue trustfires or whatever don’t.

My reported 415mA still falls comfortably in the measuring range of my analog multimeter but near the highest 500mA limit. I am lucky to have this Medium value measured or otherwise would damage the meter. While I could recall a BLF member shared a High 500mA for a Klarus NT20 among others with his new DMM, Kreisler’s doubt might reflects a depleted Ni-MH AAA (less than USD 40cents) adopted by me. Although an affordable DMM with 20A DC is common nowadays, I want one could measure up to 50A for 3 or 4x18650 scenario and, imagine it is technically feasible, clamp type for a direct trouble free measurement. I need so time to check it out. I spot small affordable clamp type DDMs but not even up to 250mA max.

I have one coming for review.
Let’s see if it’s worth!

The UF-T1 is now on cnqualitygoods for 19,50. They claim it is made of stainless steel:

First it was listed by manufacturer as Titanium, then DX said it’s Aluminium, now CNQG states Stainless Steel…

I’ve one coming from china, but will still take 3 or even 4 weeks to arrive, if everything goes well.

Fatlokwok, you never said where you got yours from. This light still interests me if only for it’s diminutive size but especially if it’s really titanium.

I wasn’t sure if he was saying he bought it there or that it can be had for $22 street price locally.

You’re right JohnnyMac, after re-reading the post I’m not sure neither…

That is, I gave the sales lady HK$200 cash and she was pleased to give me back HK$30 despite the normal price HK$188.

ApLiu street at Shamshuipo of Kowloon, Hong Kong.

For your informatio:

Received my UF-T1 yesterday. My first impressions: A fine torch. Nice smooth threads. Imho it is not titan, but I’m not a professional.

From left to right: DQG III Ti, III SS, UF-T1

What's it like compared to DQA III Ti, III SS?

What the light output like?

Can it take 10440 batteries?

It looks slightly bigger than the other two.

Does DQA III Ti has a clicky?

It’s a magnet
