Thanks Match for the great review! That is definitely an impressive amount of light from such a compact package, but not very impressive construction for the price. I do expect my lights to survive a few drops. Thanks for your professional opinion!
Nice review, same thing happened to me last week. i just bought an mte m2 and dropped it. wont turn on but i had my x2000 with me so i tried the tail cap and the led lit so i was relieved. opened the switch and found no solder on the pcb to hold the spring on. i soldered the spring on and added solder to the outer ring of the pcb and seems to have done the job.
I got Yezl Z1 yesterday and here are some notices:
It has very thin - and much less - threads and body is different - worse - than Brinyte PD08 (which looks the same). But it is crazy bright and fits a pocket so as long as its threads are ok and nothing breaks, I very much like this light.

I've got one, and it is a very nice light. Review here. Heat is going to be a very big issue in an stainless steel body. Keep the current down - I suspect an XP-G R5 with the stock driver would be better.
