Jetbeam i4 PRO intellicharger $18

18 bucks only…

the dino`s have it

Thanks for that coupon Kriesler!

I got one for $16.07 with the coupon and my $0.12 worth of Dino-points! LOL!

Wow great price for an excellent charger!

What is the difference between this new white one and the old black one??¿¿?

Rounded corners and a metal rail for the slider. (So it will hopefully be smoother)

My wf-139 has started too have a high-pitched sound and it gets a little warmer than before… And it smells o little too… Use my small usb-minicharger instead…

Looks like this will be a good buy!

Thanks for the tip, will take a chance on DD!

Now the 4 channels are COMPLETELY independent??? anyne knows?

LOT! of info here about the charger

hmmmm…. Precautions!

“1. When used at 110V, do not charge four Li-ion rechargeable batteries simultaneously.

2. The i4 charger cannot identify the battery capacity itself. *So when charging one single 10440 Li-ion battery or AAA

rechargeable battery, the i4 still emits about 1A current or charging, causing the battery to become hot.
*

Therefore :

- Please do not use the i4 to charge one single 10440 Li- ion or one single AAA rechargeable battery.

- When charging two 10440 Li-ion or two AAA

rechargeable

batteries, please set them in slot 1 and 3 or slot 2 and 4.””

"1. When used at 110V, do not charge four Li-ion rechargeable batteries simultaneously."

I'm gonna hazard a guess this is the v1 boards in a new case. Trying to pass them off and make some more money. I'm avoiding this one.

Aw really? lame.

Order cancelled till we find out more info.

The link shows this one charges at .750a or .375a for two cells on the same channel. Didn’t the v1 charge at 1a or .5 for 2 cells?

fran82 posted a link to a Canadian distributor’s site, NOT Jetbeam’s (http://www.jetbeamlight.com) and then took erroneous info from the distributor’s site leading a number of members astray.

If they had read a little further in the “boxes” quoted from j2ledflashlight.com, they would also have read, “Details of warranty service, please contact regional distributor/dealer or send an email to service@nitecore.com ” (emphasis added)

So, REGARDLESS of the webpage and pictures used by that distributor - as Jetbeam no longer has ANY business relationship with Sysmax/Nitecore - that the distributor had posted information irrelevant to the i4 PRO and, as scaru’s and manxbuggy1’s posts pointed out above, were spec’s for the v1 board (i.e. when Jetbeam/Sysmax/Nitecore were still one big happy family…)

Spec’s are still absent from the product info page at Jetbeam’s website, but it looks like they’ve been reading the forum reviews and the crappy sliders from the “Nitecore” unit have been modified. I’ll conjecture they’ve kept the v2 board while modifying the housing…

So is this charger a decent charger, and is it safe?

I’d be amazed if they went back to using the old V1 boards - since they recalled that version, what would be the point? I’d guess this will be V2 or V3 - it does seem to independently charge all bays now (I assume that this means that the 1 & 3; 2 & 4 bays are no longer linked).

This looks like Jetbeam using their part of the old Sysmax/Nitecore/Jetbeam intellectual property and making a competitor to the Sysmax I4. I4 Pro - what a good original name.

If it is a different circuit, I wonder if HKJ has been sent one to test.

I wonder if it really is a new circuit desing… Hope they have corrected the NiMh charging and they now use an adecuate dV/dT algorithm

That’s crap. I just ordered and received the old black i4 about a week ago.

hey guys…

The link Kreisler posted… the jetbeam website

Look at “specifications”

“Output current: 375mA × 4 / 750mA × 2”

I think is again the same. The channels continue being 1 and 3, 2 and 4 for the charging current. I think it is only some “visual” changes and the SS spring guides… who knows

If the info is OK at JetBeam website………

What? you ordered this WHITE one at DD and received the BLACK old one?
