Jetbeam i4 PRO intellicharger $18

I wonder if it really is a new circuit desing… Hope they have corrected the NiMh charging and they now use an adecuate dV/dT algorithm

That’s crap. I just ordered and received the old black i4 about a week ago.

hey guys…

The link Kreisler posted… the jetbeam website

Look at “specifications”

“Output current: 375mA × 4 / 750mA × 2”

I think is again the same. The channels continue being 1 and 3, 2 and 4 for the charging current. I think it is only some “visual” changes and the SS spring guides… who knows

If the info is OK at JetBeam website………

What? you ordered this WHITE one at DD and received the BLACK old one?

I dont think that you will be disappointed in the black i4. It is a great charger. I use the heck out of mine.

+1

Darn, I feel cheated… it’s a Dino offering :stuck_out_tongue:

Anywhere else currently selling the newest i4 at a similar price? Is the i4 v2 being sold on Amazon the same as this one operationally? I don’t care about color or other design enhancements that don’t actually improve performance. I’d love to get it from Amazon or this ebay seller if possible. I’d rather pay a few more dollars if it means buying from a local vendor.

that's where i bought mine .. they shipped really fast

Aimkon is an awesome seller. I have bought several lights from them and receive them in 2 to 3 days max. Iirc that is who I bought my i4 from.

Daylighter beat me to it. Lol.

Oh I’m familiar with Aimkon. I’m just wondering if that particular model is the one I’d want in light of this newer white version. If it functions the same then I’m all over it. I’m not a Dino boy

fasttech has it for ~20 after the coupon GOTECH if you can wait a week.

As suggested in my prior post - given the split in marketing between Jetbeam and Sysmax/Nitecore (August) - this is likely(?) the v2 board in an upgraded housing (sliding metal contacts - better than what HKJ tested here. maybe their reading these forums?)

As the site is currently lacking a lot of information on the i4 Pro and the manual cannot be download (check out there downloadpage here - transition(?) stage) waiting to hear back and will post info when/if received

So when I tried to “open a case” to cancel the order, they asked me to provide pictures of the defective item…… That I had ordered 10 mins before.

So rather than try to go through that nonsense, I’ll just let them send it to me then test/open it up for the good of the forum.

Funny thing is, a while ago I posted link to DinoDirect with charger that looked like this one but had different brand name, funny, isnt it, that now its “finally” released by Sysmax “officially”.
Looking at DD’s listing it looks like the only difference is additional white color, slight body restyling and “PRO” added to its name.
Metallic sliders? Ok, thats something that ‘’might’’ add to durability of this device.

So, why would it be worth buying if you already have i4 V2?
Sure, if you never had one, this is a great deal, much cheaper than i4 ever was.

No veer, not a release from sysmax, but from jetbeam

Jetbeam ≠ Sysmax/Nitecore (~= August)

Allright, didnt know that, do you have some link confirming your statement, Id love to read on about that to be more clear as to whats going on :D!
Perhaps there will be two chargers, one i4 PRO from one company and the other i4 V2 from other company lol?

Hi veer… thanks for the query and here’s some links (I got a little confused too a few weeks ago which is why I posted the link above in my prior post):

Official Terminated SYSMAX Agency for JETBeam

and

A letter to all JETBeam distributors

and

JETBeam ownership Statement

I hope this is helpful.

IMO, if the “white” JetBeam has the v2 internals and the improved metal slider, its a decent improvement, but maybe still wait for a v3(?) when “they” get better charging of the NimH’s (considering HJK’s review)

Hey, flash.light, thanks for those links ;)!

BTW, my V3 would be one with LCD and charge/discharge options with ability to set charge and discharge currents :D!

Oh and btw, excuse me for double post - but who did all the R&D work, JetBeam? While Sysmax was only distributor that also used their own Nitecore trademark on rebranded JetBeam products?

How do you find products for sale on the Jetbeam website other than that link?
