any on got a safe-light

any one got one of the safe-light/PALights http://www.safe-light.com/store/safe-light-selector-led-flashlight.html

from what i have read thay will supposedly run a 9v down to 1v

I have one. Neat emergency light. The glow is a neat feature to find it in the dark. Built for throw stock, but you can remove the lens and make it floody like a Gerber IU. I wish the ramp up started at a lower low.

Not the prettiest beam, but serves it's purpose as an emergency light well. I haven't put a half dead 9V in yet, that may give the lower low.

And they send free to my country. Now these are interesting little lights. But, no mention on their lumens or lux? We love that kind of talk you know :)

I thought it was just a single 5mm cased emitter.

It probably is. And a lens to focus the light on. The light it emits may not be anything better than a sub $3 AAA light but they advertise these well and you all know how I feel against advertisement, I simply get one :)

..

Naah, they didn't tickle me that bad. I just had my ITP SA1 Eluma R5 delivered today. It (and a couple of Fenix'es from a local discount) should settle me for long.

They are good to put on a nightstand or somewhere where you may get caught in the dark. From what I read, they are still quite useful to use up the remaining juice in 9v batteries coming out of smoke alarms.

I am a realistic man and although I have all those big guns, I usually keep several 0.5W, AAA lights around the house, because they give just the right amount of light I need at home. So, I am sure I can have use for these lights too, but they are just a bit expensive to get in numbers. With a light level, on the other hand, matching Fenix E10's 55lumens could easily earn its money. That's why I bought my second E10 (ok, I bought the second one because it was $10 cheaper than before)

i get paid this week

i think i may order one but not sure which

the handyman /star /and selector all appeal but my budget dose not run to 3 lights time to do a bit more research

i could not make my mind up so i went for http://www.safe-light.com/store/family-pack.html

i emailed to ask a few questions and was surprised to get a very friendly reply with in 10 minutes at 10-O-clock on a Friday night from one of the top managers

he was very open and honest about there lights

i let him know i was a member of BLF and mentioned the other place Embarassed as he was keen to know where i herd of there lights and knocked £5 off the price £28 for the 3 lights instead of £ 33 i am happy with that

Wow very good service.

i was very impressed with their honesty

he pointed out that as i was used of high power lights these may-not be what i wanted

and offered me the option of canceling the order before i paid

i sade as a light maniac i would find a use for them
