Well , Ive got my chargers running hot ATM .. Hopefully the batteries can be charged tonight ..

Looks like the 2200mAh [ Blue and white ] No3 has changed from a flat top to a button top .

Anyhow , I will start testing tomorrow

Im also waiting the results from our battery expert par excellance. Pretty confident in the 2400mAh and with high hopes for 2600mAh.

Only just managed to charge 8 batteries last night , had some 4 chargers going ...

The Xtar batteries + a Samsung 28A and a Sanyo 2600 ... 1st thing will be to test charge state after resting ..

They all came off the chargers @ 4.2v except the Samsung , which snuck to 4.21v in the WF-188 charger [ surprise ]

Anyhow , testing will begin in about 8 Hours or so ...

This should be intresting, I'm on the look out for some more 18650(ish)'s.

Ive discharged the two 2200mAh cells , and results have been posted for the discharge part .. Dont worry , thats only part of the testing ...

Just need to take a picture , and I will post discharge results in the battery Data base ...

Discharged till the protection kicks in or you stop at 3.6V?

These really are looking very good, lets hope you saved the best 'til last as well :)

Once you're done with these discharge tests, could you test them on an XM-L or something demanding around 3A just to see what sort of current they will produce?

These batteries will be fully tested , I just wanted to test capacity first .. [ + Review Thread once its all done - Im just posting capacity results for the data base ATM ]

At around 5 Hours discharge time @ 500mAh , this is going to take time , a lot of time , Im not sure I can fully test over the week end .

But yes Discharge capability [ current supplied ] will be part of the test , one of my better XR-E R2's , XP-G R5 , SSC P7 and XM-L ...

I also hope to do a runtime test [ in a light ] to get a performance curve . So it wont be light and fluffy . For now Im just posting the capacity results .

Discharge for capacity = From 4.2v to 3v [ under load ] , discharge stops when battery reaches 2.99v under load ...

The first Xtar 2600 built on a Sanyo 2600 has been discharged .. And much like the Sanyo I teste a little while ago Here , the capacity tested was very close ..

2433mAh for the Unprotected Sanyo , and some 2448mAh for the Xtar [ Sanyo 2600 based ] , Im currently waiting to put in the second cell , and I want to time it so it will finish a little after I get back from the Flashlight Meet tonight .
