Cree, Luminus, Seoul Semiconductor, and Nichia LED comparison

SSC-P7 added. Sadly, I do not have enough information to add the Z7, I will continue to search for more info but I doubt I will find it.

Epic job Scaru!! Cheers man!
The S2, S3, binned Cree XPG were unavailable when they first appeared because,
FourSevens (4Sevens) bought all the production!!!
i`m sure i read that the Seoul Semiconductor P7 is now discontinued…
………………. SSC Z7
….Merry Christmas Folks!

Sorry for the late reply, I hadn't noticed it.

They are actually available from my favorite source, Illumination Supply.

They are rather inefficient, and are 3000k so very yellow. It's all a matter of personal preference.

I actually already said that it was discontinued in the write up. ;) Thanks though.

lol, i type wiith one finger, `hunt and peck`

I think the Luminus Devices LEDs should be in there and maybe the title should have something like Cree & Luminus LED Data sheet thread.... Or something like that, or not. Just thinking out loud.

Thanks for making the thread. Honestly, I never would have thought of something like this.

The reason I can't add the Z7 is there is no lumen testing on it that I know of. I guess I could use the emitter lumens...

Thanks Scaru! Great info in a tidy package!!! A Christmas present for all of us!!!

Dan.

Links to all of the LEDs and their datasheets added. Does anyone have a link to the SSC-P7 datasheet? The one on their website was taken down.

Binning

Very Informative. Ty Scaru.

Adding it now, thanks OL!

Do you guys think I should add MC-E/SST-50/SST-90?

I have SST-50 and SST-90, and don’t know anything about them. SST-50 neutral.

My LED comparison thread with links. Scaru - this links to Illumination supply.

I think the SST-90 & 50 should be there, since they are still valid leds and still used. Probably the MC-E as well, but less so, since it's about dead.

Oops, I guess I had the wrong thing in my clipboard. Thanks for pointing that out OL. :) I just added the MC-E and I'll do SST-50 next.

A writeup on the SST-90 would be worthwhile. It’s wicked bright!

SST-50 added.

2 different data sheets on the SST-90, with graphs, if you need them.

Thanks, I already found them though. But in other news, SST-90 has now been added. :D

Any more suggestions on LEDs to add?
