I pulled the trigger and got a Fenix TK60

Should Arrive in two or more weeks. Anyone have one? Does it need Nimh for full output? I’ll probably get Nimh batteries for it anyway, just looking for opinions on this hardly talked about D cell light.

I would run the white Tenergy NIMH batteries in it.

I got this on the way

Tenergy all the way

Your set.

I think the white Tenergy are a lot better than the blue Tenergy when it comes to holding a charge after month or so.

I bought the same thing. They work great! The only downside? In extreme cold they drain quickly

Alkaline batteries tend to be marginal for current draws that are in excess of an amp. And although I have never measured the tailcap current of a TK60, I’m guessing it will be FAR in excess of an amp in turbo. In fact, the TK60 is known for powering down after a short while if you try to run it on alkaline batteries. So do yourself a favor and get NiMH batteries. And get true D’s (like the Tenergy Centura) rather than running Eneloops in adaptors. One of the GREAT thing about D cell lights is their long runtime (ESPECIALLY in turbo). Using AA batteries to power a D cell light kind of defeats the purpose.

Good to know about the extreme cold, not much I can too prevent that as I live in Canada.

Trying to get snow pictures in WV…. Lol

The Tk60 arrived today, got it from cpfmp member goatee. One thing I noticed is is the buttons are a little stiffer than the tk75. I don’t mind that just hope I don’t use both lights in a short span or it may bug me (not too much though)
Good bang for the buck, I would say it is somewhere in the ballpark of 40-50k lux. The head was a little smaller than I thought it’d be. I like the length maybe an inch longer than a 3D mag.
I think it’s a keeper, I was suprized at first that my Varapower 2000k outhrows this but then I remembered the Varapower has double the lumens
I’d put my Varapower at 55-70k lumens running 4nimh c cells for turbo. (Dedomed)

These are guesses based on my perception and what I’ve read

Good post. We appreciate you taking a few minutes to jot down this short article invaluable! I’ve been previously attempting to get titles such as this for a way too much time. I am also entirely gladiola when i ascertained one. Excited for your next entry. ultrasoundtechsalarydata.com
