Review: Black Shadow Darth 3 x XM-L T6 NW

I’m slipping in my old age. It’s added now in the cons. Thanks. :wink:

Thanks very much! Frontpage’d and Sticky’d.

I would love to be able to get the host! Underdriven=begging for AMC mod!

I never see kind of review… Very well made, I just wonder if the light can work with just one or two batteries, can the batteries get loose in the body and will fall over? Thanks and Happy New Year

Since the batteries are in parallel it would probably work, but one would want a battery capable of high currents.

The batteries sit very firm in the holder none are ever going to fall or shift once in their slot. Its slightly dimmer off 1 but runs well as well with 2 or 3 in place.

Hi, yes, you are right, but I mean about the batteries stay in his place inside the body… Happy New Year…

Thanks, that is what I wan to know…

Happy New Year… :smiley:

Fandyfire version now available at Fasttech for $60!

As much as I'd rather see the Black Shadow name on that light, is just different branding on the identical light and $60 is a steal for this wonder light!

Jump on it like it was Katherine Webb!! :love:

What’s the news on the FandyFire version from Fasttech? Are they the exact same in built quality and electrical innards?

Jumped!

My FT FandyFire arrived last week.

I haven’t seen a BS branded one, but mine is superb.

Everything working as described in this review? What’s the battery life on high and what cells are you using? :slight_smile:

I’ve been thinking of ordering the FandyFire version of the light and would like to know the answer to this as well.

Everything works just fine. I haven’t done a runtime test.

I have protected Panasonics in it. Tight fit but fine.

Just got some tailcap reading using 1 x 18650 senybor 2800mah

Low = 0.55 amps
Mid = 1.80 amps
High = 3.6 amps

Using XM-L specs im guessing 1260 lumens.

Well mine just came in from fasttech after much anticipation first thing I noticed when I took out. Of box is man this thing is heavy its a solid block or either 6061 or similar grade aluminum that has been milled absolutely no cast aluminum here been charging Panasonics now for 51/2 hours now cant wait till full charge and darkness to try out.3 I think I’m getting what started out as a innocent hobby to a dangerous level last week local deputy stopped.me and asked everythingwas ok on my propertybecause nieghbors 2 acres +away werw complaining about spotlights on my property any how he was impressed with out put of my C8 compared to his maglight

What is the best price on the NW version? $70 @ CNQG?

For a NW version yes, I believe so. For a CW version with a little more output, Fastech has the best price @ $62 shipped plus another 5% off if you use the code “BLF”.

Thanks. The FF is tempting, but I gotta go NW. Already have a cool FF UV-S5 for showing off. :smiley:
