NiteCore EA8 & EA8W

Shut up & take my money !!

Looks really great! Kinda like a high-tech 2D mag, only better!

Like my EA4 very much, and this one looks even better!

Just hope fasttech can do a great coupon-deal on this one too, fingers crossed….

Any ideas about pricing?

No idea about the pricing yet, yea I also hoping fasttech have it & do a great coupon deal ~

Ahh, my Fenix TK41 feel old now :~

I can’t wait for this one!! I made a post over in general I didn’t know this was posted here, you have many more pics than mine has… Thanks for sharing!!!

Man! Like I said in Rikr's thread, I can pass on the EA4 but the interface on this baby looks way better! 800 hours on low! Looking forward to pricing info. 8)

60kcd...wow!

The Nitecore EA8 is now showing on one German flashlight retailer’s web shop. Price is 109.90 Euros

That’s about $145 USD.

Let’s hope FastTech can do another awesome discount

That really won’t do anything a Fenix TK41 won’t do except have a lower mode. A Crelant 7G5 is gonna throw just about as well. I’m not impressed.

I have been waiting on this one, looks better than expected…and a real low!The mode spacing is much better than the EA4.I just wish they had picked another name, even if it fits this light better than the Shiningbeam one.If I buy this will I not have Cavemen in my collection?-Rick

Caveman ehh……… mehh

Wow US$145

FastTech…… do something >)

If it’s less than twice the price of the EA4, I’ll be getting one.

Really liking the lumen spread on this one.

If there were a really sturdy holster option for it I'd definitely get one

I wish the EA4/EA4W had a micro mode… :frowning:

yeah me too… i have grown to appreciate low lumen lights

Yeah… but you have to say that the german price for the EA4 is @ 104,- USD too

So the increase to the EA4 is about 33% - Hopefully we get a nice offer from fasttech

Am I the only one not bothered by the EA4's lack of an ultra low mode? The EA8 is nice, but I'm not wild about using 8 AA's and IMO, $145 is way too expensive. BTW, I paid $59 for my EA4

I would ignore German price of this light, EU=inflated prices.

Why XML and not XML2, wouldnt that give more like 1000lm?

Hard to believe that 590lm will be for 3h45min while 900lm which is almost twice the lumens will be full 2h?
And as I read at CPF it will most likely switch back to high from turbo after couple of minutes, thus making it impossible to neither run it on high non-stop nor achieve 2h runtime on max.

All of a sudden EA4 seems better light than EA8, comparable output, less batteries to use.

Or Im missing something here :D?
EDIT: Looks like I am - 3 times the cd output=much more throw, right?

I do hope Im missing, because EA8 was supposed to be everything EA4 users wanted it to be, right :D?!

I thought the modes were perfectly spaced when I first got the EA4W. Then I started using it as a bedside light and realized it’s missing one thing; a lower low. The moonlight mode is not a killer for me; I still really like the light and find myself reaching for it a lot.
I’m with you on the 8xAA’s; The way I do things, I would need 16 AA NiMH just for that one light. $145 is steep too; maybe 50% more than an EA4, tops.

Guys read my post  German prices are way overpriced… the EA4 is here 80€ - I bought it for 35€ at fasttech

So, is there any US sites listing this light yet? What about any of the HK sellers?

Check out battery junction… $99.95!
