A green laser in UF502B body showed up today from gadgettown. If you are looking for a laser that's maybe a little more powerful than the man thinks you should have, I'm just sayin.
Today i received my Ultrafire Stainless Steel C3. 1 minute after i fall in love with this flashlight. Is not so bright but i can't resist the appeal of SS!
3. LCK-LED 4x XM-L T6 on 16mm star for 23,3usd <- LOL should i found that deal sooner!
4. Dropin assembly (reflector SMO + both springs + brass pill) from PA at 2,2usd each. 5 nice ones and 2 came pre-scratched coz they forgot to bag the last two reflectors and the other things inside the mini bag. The pill and springs had their fun skiing on the reflector. Sent RMA ticket.
Hopefully a not-so-bright one will turn out not to be a hand cremator. On a 14500 on high (250 lumens out of mine), my one is a pretty good test of pain threshold. I can take it for around 4minutes 30 seconds before it hurts too much and I have pretty heatproof hands. A very tough nurse friend of mine who once walked to work on a broken ankle managed 5 minutes.
I might pop a 14500 in mine and give it to a friend who works as a blacksmith/welder - I've seen him on more than one occasion take baked potatoes out of the oven with his bare hands! I was convinced it was down to the job, but then I realised he also drank boiling hot tea without the slightest pause.
I got the C3 SS luckily from lightake promotion by discussing the thread which was going nowhere. Eventually i managed to post where it woudl matter and realized it 2 posts later. :P. It is hard to browse on a old school blackberry phone that resembles a brick. It is my EDC since. Don't mind the weight. Pretty reliable so far. I pocket it along with am ini multitool and a usb key but got big pockets. :)
I used to be a chemist. One bad day in the lab I picked up what i thought was a cold 500ml beaker of chromic acid (A saturated solution of potassium dichromate in fuming sulphuric acid). It wasn't cold, in fact it wasn't far off boiling. The boiling point is around 325oC. Dropping it meant losing both feet at best. It is also a known carcinogen and mutagen. Basically it is evil stuff - anything organic it doesn't destroy it gives cancer to.
I lost the fingerprints on both hands for a month or two but I didn't drop it. Smelling your own fingers burning is not the nicest thing that can happen to you.
However, just about everyone in a kilometre's radius knew I wasn't happy about it.
I don't have the highest pain threshold, but my hands are pretty heat resistant.
Today I got the need - need for Ultrafire WF-501B camo host. So... paypal sent. And I also hopped on to the Manafont UF 3-mode XML- train and got that as well. Under 16,50 euros shipped for a 800+ lumen (as measured by Match) light isn't really budget anymore. It's just plain dirt cheap.
Anyone got that 501B camo host yet? I'm just a sucker for non-black-or-silver lights. Actually this will be my first one, but it has been far too long. I've always wanted one.
