Review: Black Shadow Terminator 4*U3/4*18650

Yeah man…

Sorry, not very good at this caper, so my images are a funky size.

I’m particularly impressed with this holster because the base of the torch fits perfectly into the base of the holster, so no baggy bits. The neck of the holster around the torch is perfect. Tight enough to need a wee wiggle just to coax it in, but not that tight you need 2 hands. Also, my favourite bit lol, the velco strips marry-up perfectly too! No rubbish overlaps!

THanks for the quick pic posting. I may have to get one of these for mine. It looks and fits really nice! 8)

Ordered! Thanks a bunch, Denbuc!

No problem squire
You’re as fast at ordering as I can be with photos sometimes haha
Oh yeah, and just so you know, mine took 1 day from ordering to dispatch, then only another 10 days to get to Scotland. Pretty impressive

Good to know. I’ve never ordered from them before and was wondering how long it might take.

Oh, and they only have 4 left now so I figured if I don't act quickly they will be gone after everyone else sees how nice it fits the Terminator. :p

Word will indeed spread fast, I’m going to check at bed-time and see if they’ve all gone.

Thanks denbuc ordered one aswell.By the way i took the handle off mine and sealed the hole where the wires from switch enter head ,used non acetic silicone.

No bother jakey.
Nice tip about the handle joint. Might get me some sealant and do that too.

Same here.

lol

It was another member that tried the dunking test and noticed bubbles coming from around the handle,so i thought i had better seal it.Sorry i cant remember which member it was.

I was the dum dum who dunked his terminator in water. Thanks for the idea, I gotta get some silicone sealant to seal that hole!

At least it’s a simple fix and a non-moving part.

I am sure that is a self explanatory fix but if someone does the fix on that hole, can they post pics to help those of us who haven’t done it?

I used a thick rubber washing machine belt inbetween the jaws of a set of mole grips to unloosen the two top reflectors.Removed the two alen bolts,.Lift up the handle slightly,on mine there wasn,t much room ,noslack on the switch wires.Using a very small flat screwdriver i pushed in some silicone .Tightened the bolts back in and wiped excess off with a damp cloth…

if anyone is wondering the fasttech protected ncrb panasonic 3400 mah fit… barely… threads squeaked a little but they seem to fit and work ok (69mm+)

Bad night for me… :frowning:

I dropped my Terminator (due to beer issues) and chipped and scratched it in 4 different places. :frowning:

I have 4 other torches on order just now, and I was starting to consider selling my Terminator, but not now. No way at all I can sell it with this damage, so it’s defo a keeper.

While I’m pissed to the max at the damage, it’s still working perfectly. An easy 1m drop onto solid concrete step, then a bounce 150mm to the next, then another 150mm bounce onto another slab… but to be fair to the Terminator, it’s working perfectly after the damage.

Lesson there. Don’t mix quality torches and beer. And don’t be careless with the way you ‘store’ it.

Shame it’s now damaged and not sell-able, but at the same time it’ll make me sell the others I have coming and appreciate the standard of what I already own.

Got any pics of the damage? that sucks to hear. I would be so sad to see my terminator take on damage like that. I plan on taking it on some big backcountry trips this summer so we shall see how it fairs.

Strangely it feels works than it looks. All the wee rough edges make it feel really bad, when in the cold light of day (and now sober lol) it’s not that bad. Still can’t/won’t sell it on though.

Oh man! That sucks! I had a similar issue. I had mine open sitting on the ottoman. Mrs D came walking in tripped and spilled coffee into the battery carrier… & possibly the head. After extensive CPR & Defib…. She brought me back around. I poured the coffee out of the battery case, wiped it out. I wiped the head out as well. Didnt seem to have any coffee in it. The light works fine, Only took a day to calm Mrs D in light of the colorful expressions spewn ( by myself ) at the time of the incident.
