DQG 18650 EDC--World's Smallest 18650 Flashlight

I am not able to select my province or city, so I am not able to purchase. Pretty frustrating.

That’s normal…
I think the Paypal adress is used anyway but I wrote my adress in another field or so just for sure.

Hi,

I pre-ordered. This is my first time doing this, so hope it works out (for all of us ! Titanium and NW.

Am I correct that these also ship from China (I’m in the U.S.)? I have several orders from various places that are in-flight, including Fasttech (“in the mail”), so getting impatient with these :(…

Jim

Yup.

Also, looks like they won’t ship until April 5th… so try to be patient!

Since it’s designed to only run on an 18650 I see no reason why it would have a boost circuit. I’m sure it’s just a simple linear regulator. There is literally no room for boost circuit as the driver would be too thick.

I’m confused about something. I thought that I saw something about not being able to use protected 18650 batteries?

But, the website description says:

Does anyone know what the actual situation is (this would be for a Titanium/NW one, in my case).

Thanks,
Jim

You've never seen the DQG AA driver? :P Its so tiny.. but it can boost.

LOL! You’re right, I haven’t. Still would have no need for a boost circuit in this one though.

Well, if its XML2, a buck/boost circuit would be helpful.. but we will see. :)

Order placed for xml2 version in Ti color… couldn’t resist great price…

That will probably come down to the particular battery. There is not really standardization for cells. Length can differ from brand to brand or even one mAh to another.

Plus, no one physically has the light in their possession yet so know will really know for sure yet. The risk you take to be a trendsetter.

Hi Haterade,

Understood. This is the first time I’m doing a pre-order like this (before it really exists). Hopefully what is on the website will be accurate.

Thanks,
Jim

My fingers are crossed too!

Maybe Ric will chime in again at some point but I am sure hes a busy gent.

I think it’s just bad English on their website. It’s trying to say it supports 18650 protected & unprotected cells, however when you buy the light you won’t get a battery with it.

+1 I agree.

Ordered…. xml2(cw)version in Ti color. Now the wait

At $30 I cant resist a titanium xm-l2….
Really good price!

Remember that titanium is only the colour, not the material. Still a really good price though.

Would the producer of this flashlight please comment if a warm white XM-L2 version will be for sale? Thx
