Review: Convoy C8 XM-L U2 1B 1x18650 8x7135 Flashlight

relic38: THANK YOU!!!

Thanks for the review relic. I’ve never had a C8, and I may pick up the host for this Convoy.

BTW, I have 6 of these coming in some time in the next month. Two Neutrals  and two cool.

Error. Does not compute… :~

LOLOLOL!!! hahahahah!! Oops! :Sp That was after working a night shift. 3 neutral white and 3 cool white.

Love my Convoy 3c T6 C8, best C8 by far I’ve got out of four of them. Definitely worth a punt.

Thanks very much for the review! Frontpage’d and Sticky’d.

I ordered the newest KDC8 waiting to compare to Lightmalls C8LU3

I ordered the latest KDC8 I cant wait to compare with my Lightmalls C8 LU3 and so my own in formal review

I ordered the newest KDC8 last week i am waiting for it to com e to due. Y own informal comparisons to my Lightmalls LU3s

Anybody know where I can buy this guide ? Or a similar one?

Fasttech has some options in their Flashlight Diy category. I use the plastic ‘butterfly’ shaped ones mostly, although I bought some of each type to have in stock.
I have not found any of this exact type yet.

Thanks Relic! I got also that butterfly on order but I like the one similar to the Convoy as it aligns the reflector to the emitter nicely. WIll keep looking.

Will it work with the Ultrafire C2/C8 Pressure switch ?

I have a few of the Lightmalls CLU3 anx I have the latest KDC8 XML2-U2 on order should be here any day I cant wait to compare them to each other!

My order arrived today and the ‘butterfly’ shaped one works.

Insulation Gasket

That’s a good question for Fasttech, maybe they will test it.
It depends on the threads. I do not have my Convoy C8 with me at the moment so I cannot swap tailcaps to see if they are compatible. When I get it back I will try this, if the question hasn’t been answered already.
Edit: Answered here :frowning:

Very tempting. The T4 7C Convoys are interesting too.

The max output - 2,800 mA vs 2,100 mA. No sense in getting the 2,100 mA (6 x 7135) version, go with the second one listed.

To select the other mode group, switch to low mode. In about 4 seconds or so the light will blink. Right after the blink, quick press the clicky. Now the light is in the other mode group.
