Illumination Supply = FAST!

Can you say FAST!

I ordered Thursday, March 28. This is Monday, April 1 and my order was in my P.O. box this morning!!

This is why we need to keep these folks in business!! You just can't beat that for service.

Thanks Calvin! Dan

I agree and I am trying to keep them in business. The shipping cost is very reasonable and they have current items.

they aren't going out of business ...

they just said the diy market isn't one you want to try to get into these days

Shining beam obviously realized the same thing

I got a ship notice saturday (though it might have been shipped friday) and got my package at noon today!

Got my XM-L2’s today, very fast shipping indeed!

I placed an order friday, and received it today.

I don't even know how that's possible via first class.

There is a minor problem with the light, but I am super impressed with the shipping speed. I doubt getting it exchanged will take long.

They have a contact page, or if you see Calvin on here, PM him. They’re as fast and as good with after-sale service as they are with shipping :)!

Jim

They were out of R5 1D bare and I sent Craig an email at 9:30 pm which he replied to at 10. Can you believe it?

Actually, yes, I can!

These are top notch folks!! I'm glad to see the comments. Small businesses in the USA are a hassle to own and take a lot more work to run than most think... I KNOW!!! FIRST HAND... and when we have one that gives service like this we need to help when we can if we expect them to keep servicing our needs.

I'd rather pay a little more and have what I need available in a couple of days than need to inventory 50 of everything or wait for delivery out of China. I always keep a stock of parts but I like it to be reasonable! Inventory = $$$$ ...so in the long run, I can pay a little extra and still come out ahead.

My parts were shipped first class as well. Ordered Thursday last week and had them today... you just gotta love it!

Dan.

^^^^ This.

I try to order from IS whenever possible. Time is money; how much is a four-week wait worth ?

Oh I'm not worried. In fact to a non flashaholic it would be a non issue... the LED is just kind of off center. I sent them an email, I'm sure I'll hear back tomorrow, or in a day or two. No rush.

Frankly I'm amazed at the size of the SC52... it's TINY.

Hi,

I know… I just got mine last week, and went “whoa!”.

I’d seen reviews and pictures, etc. for awhile, and I thought that, style-wise, it’s kind of “odd” shaped, but when I got it and opened the box, I couldn’t believe how small it was, and, then, I turned it on, and, THE PERFORMANCE was really amazing! Pictures, etc. didn’t really convey how small that light really is, but once you get it in your hand, you “get it”.

It’s to the point now where I don’t really care what it looks like anymore :), and I’m kind of getting use to the UI and the side button, so it’s all great :)!!

Jim

I can attest to absurdly fast service and shipping from IlluminationSupply. Great guy(s) over there.

When I first picked up the box, I thought there must have been a mistake. It felt too light!

The UI will take a bit of getting used to, but I don't think it will be an issue. I just want a perfectly centered replacement, and now can't wait to get the bigger brother SC600.

I think I might keep mine on my keychain.

One thing that irks me a bit, is the clip is not reversible. It would be great to clip it to a hat, to use as a makeshift headlamp.

I'm also pleasantly surprised that it fits the longer keeppower protected 14500 batteries with no trouble, and steps down properly so as not to overheat.

The "strobe" mode is a bit of a joke, but hey... can't have everything.

I just got a Nitecore EA8W from Illumination Supply.
The light is as fantastic as the service from IS.

Hi,

Thinking alike… when I saw the SC600 also :)…

I don’t use the clip, but, well, speaking of “irks”, I was kind of disappointed that it didn’t come with any “goodies”, like and lanyard and/or holster.

I got a lanyard off of one of my other lights, and looped that through the hole in the clip, and that’s ok, but am on the look out for a smallish holster for it.

I just ordered a couple of the keychains and the smaller (#0 and #0.5) S-biners from IS, so I may try to see how it works on a lanyard on my belt, which is where I normally have been carrying my ITP A3.

Later,
Jim

I've had two companies deliver in one day before . After dealing with 3 and 4 week waits fom china it kind of blows your mind . Even 3 days seems crazy fast.

It's nice to have Craig or Calvin answer a question quickly .Even P.M.'s are answered like you would expect and never ignored like some companies here on the forum.Great company with two smart and helpful members here on blf .we're lucky to have them .I agree that a company offering Quality products & good service ought to be rewarded with our appreciation and loyalty .

Thanks for all the kind words and support guys. Unfortunately I must apologize for our most recent slow-down. Our shipping system had a hiccup and we’ve fallen a little behind on orders, I’m currently working through everything right now and should be up to date very soon. We also apologize for the site problems if you have encountered any recently. We’ve been adding on more functionality to our system and have met some growing pains. We’ll soon be back to the degree of service you have all come to recognize and expect from us!

yeap +1

they are my go to USA source for lights/parts … I dont see that changing either, they have good prices and very fast shipping and good service… plus they are always posting offers/promos here on BLF
