That's it folks.

Very interesting. Looking forward to more progress pics! 8)

I like these projects. Thinking outside the box…

OP is updated with more photos.

We begin to see how far you will go to avoid liion. I’m waiting to see the light you will build from all the off cuts you have made. I even know the perfect song. An old ditty about a car built from spare parts. “‘56, ’57, 58’ Chevy” or something like that.

Here we go again. Good stuff. By the time I get around to building my original dream light there will be no original ideas left.

Ain’t nothing like an Old-Lumens bespoke flashlight!

Another really interesting light, wow!

Could you drill a hole instead of a slot? You would need to pre-wire the tube then assemble the tubes with tape and a bead of JB weld to permanently hold the bodies in a bundle.

One other thought, why not use two bodies with four batteries to feed current to a third shortened body that only holds the LEDs and the switch? You could have about three or six volts depending on batteries type and series or parallel connection.

A hole? I don’t know.

As far as batteries, yes, there are lots of diffeent configurations. It all depends on what one wants. 6xAA, 3x14500 in parallel, All kinds of things could be done.

OP is updated. Thanks to Pinetreebbs I decided to go ahead and make it a 4AA light. That way I don't have to cut tubes and cut new threads for the tail caps. I don't like that chore.

wow… going wild on these things lately huh justin? lol
cant wait to see what comes of this one. the 4x one was amazing

I’m just finishing off what I have “in stock”. Once the stock is gone, the modding will shut down and I wanted to finish off with a couple unique lights.

I'm still waiting on the EA8 though. I might actually keep that light, LOL...

good choice! id like one of them myself, but got another light on my mind right now (shadow sl3)
hope you decide to stick around for a while after

O L you have been making some extremely awesome mini mag mods lately - do you take orders for custom jobs?

i pay cash  hehe.

I have not made any custom order lights. It makes me nervous. It’s one thing to mod a light and have it fail, but when you do one for someone else it can’t fail. So I avoid doing orders from people.

Someday that may change, but not in the near future.

Well, to update this, I don't have anything new. Frown I have set this aside and will not touch it for a few days. Other issues have taken the limelight. Hopefully I will finish this mod in the next week or so. Right now I am spending time with my favorite Chiropractor. My "Spring cleaning" just about cleaned my clock, LOL.

I hope Chiropractors are cheaper in the US than Aus. Better yet just take mind expanding pain killers. There cheaper than Chiropractors and you can do a heck of a lot more when under there influence. Just stay away from rotating saw blades. :_(

I threw this project away, in the circular file. The next day I couldn't stand it and got it all back out again. Now it works and it is in the final paint stages. More photos are in the OP.

It's almost done.
