With almost 200 orders for RIC’s DQG 18650 flashlight, hopefully he does not suffer a drop in service standard.

The light looks nice…too bad it’s from CNQG because it will take a month or so just to get here :frowning:

Hi picrthis,
Way off topic….what’s wrong with ValueHobby….I have had good luck with them! :stuck_out_tongue:

Read back through the threads I got ripped off by “value hobby”.

I’m a big fan of Ric, but why is there a list of people that have purchased on the webpage? Does this serve some purpose that I’m not understanding?

Ric? Any comment?

Hated to do it….but opened a dispute with Paypal regarding my order with cnqualitygoods. Hopefully just a hickup….was just about to order the BTU Shocker! :_(
Mike

I agree….live and learn

Just ordered the Nitecore TM26 from F.T………got my fingers crossed! :Sp
Mike

I’m about to do the same… been a month. I’m not getting any younger. |(

I really if ever order from CNQG as they are slow as all h*ll to get your package to you, because they use a 3rd party and then goes through Sinapore Post as snail mail. I have passed-up on ordering many things I couldn’t easily find elsewhere because fankly Ric isn’t interested in fixing the issue, says never had a problem before and yet it’s been a problem with every order I ever had with him. I wanted something in March so I placed an order and was hoping they changed for the better.

Ordered it on Mar 7th, just recieved it yesterday, the date on the package shows March 8th shipped out through a 3rd party carrier once again, who then gives it to SP when they get around to it I guess. Ric told me last time to use registered mail it will make it much faster, and their website shows it takes 7-20 days to worldwide?? YET it took 35 DAYS to get to me; it took from Mar 8th to Mar 24th just for their 3rd party to get it to SP which then does their electronic notify to USPS, which means it’s now in the postal system and I can track it. Here’s the CNQG tracking record;

Yet if FASTtech can get it to me in 7 Days……….WHY can’t/won’t CNQG do it??? and to think CNQG charges a lot extra for shipping.

i ordered drivers like 4-5 weeks ago and i sent him emails after emails and no response

I expect it to be slow….I order a bunch of stuff from Hobby King and it takes forever. Frankly, I am shocked that once I had a problem with my order, all correspondence stopped. From reading threads on “this” forum, I was led to believe that cnqg’s was the “go to” place. I just places a substantial order with fastech….so far so good!

To put it in perspective….I just had a few batteries that were messed up….not the end of the world. My SRK was in perfect condition and I am enjoying it!!!

I agree so far FASTtech is an amazing company, I’ve had 12+ orders with them so far and none of the orders were minor orders. The funny thing is several of those orders I placed on the same day I placed a few Domestic orders……Yet the FT’s ones arrived 1-2 day Before the Domestic ones did……now how great is that for Customer Service 8) some places spend way too much time just packaging something up and getting it out the door.

I too have had mixed results and several non-responses from Ric. My BTU was shipped very fast. A subsequent order languished with follow up emails and questions ignored while other members reported getting answers right away. I would get a response maybe a week later with an answer to one question. All of this was before the DQG18650 started heating up, so it’s tough to say that’s what happened.
I have two orders (DQG18650 and some DRY drivers) that I hope will arrive smoothly.
I really would like to see the level of service that members had in the past. Having reliable suppliers that respond quickly and keep me in the loop when there are issues or delays is what I like.
Good communication is just as important to me as the product itself.

I find it’s like pulling teeth to get your emails answered, usually it gets actually replied back from someone called “merry” I guess Ric really doesn’t care because speaking for myself I know he has lost alot of business as I look elsewhere for what I need/want and I know others do the same because of the lack of service and all the delays that he DOES know is happening, he can track these packages just as well as we can but just chooses to bury his head in the sand. It’s a real shame he does come out with some nice stuff, but the first thing I do when I read about something cnqg is selling to go looking to see if I can get from someone else.

Totally agree!!!
I was going to order the BTU Shocker and the DQG 18650. Had them both in the CNQG’s shopping cart……but the lack of response to a simple problem gave me pause. Sooooo, I just pulled the trigger on:

Nitecore TM-26 from fasttech
NITEYE EYE10 Cree XM-L U2 from fasttech (instead of DQG 18650)
Fenix TK75 from Amazon (instead of BTU Shocker)
SC600 Mk II 18650 XM-L 900Lm Flashlight from Zebralight (out of Irving, TX……hell ya)
all because of a few dollars that cnqg’s can save by not standing behind their warranty statement.

Think I am done with the budget/china stuff.
SRK is cool……but compare it to this:S6330 Triple 18650 Triple XM-L 2400Lm Flashlight
S6330
Twice the price….but twice as nice!

now to justify these purchases with the wife…….any advise?

You could always say…… never mind, you’re screwed.
:stuck_out_tongue:

Despite many others who had only great things to say about Ric, his service and his two sites - I hesitated on two good size purchases after several emails went unanswered for two weeks…

Hope things turn around for him, as I still have the BTU on my radar - hoping it gets upgraded to L2 or U3 at some point. And the price keeps dropping w new market competition.

Perhaps someone will see the opportunity & necessity to open up a USA based branch of a good China site. (I don’t count Tmart or ? among those)

After reading more here I opened the claim. Hell with this. Only reason I used CNQG was that no one else had the Apex 5XML neutral.
