Look at this pic and zoom way in. It looks to me that there is a joint line at the base of the bezel where it threads in and seats against the head. My money is on a removeable bezel.
I used to buy Fenix lights by the carton for promotions, safety and performance awards and so on…but after watching their pricing, I’ve taken the attitude “who needs Fenix when we have the likes of Convoy, Shadow and Nitecore”? Fenix lights are nice, but not that nice.
The 431 is a shunt regulator, that’s the part that sets the charge voltage. It uses a resistor divider for feedback. Fairly typical setup, except this is bare-bones.
There is also a MOSFET (controlled by the 431) and a diode for reverse connection protection connection.
The final bit is an indicator for charge complete; a transistor and an LED.
This is not designed for any real amount of power, expecting a 5V 500mA supply at the most.
If that red or black wire ever come loose, it could short out the cell, which would be not good.
I LOL’d at the squiggly trace on the top, which looks like a ‘current limiting’ trace.
So if there is no such thing as neutral white U3 xml’s which LED does the 7G5CS have that their selling. Is it the T6 neutral white or is it the cool white U3.
I want to buy the cool white U3 but don’t want to get stuck with the neutral white. Emailed fasttech, waiting for an answer
