The 431 is a shunt regulator, that’s the part that sets the charge voltage. It uses a resistor divider for feedback. Fairly typical setup, except this is bare-bones.
There is also a MOSFET (controlled by the 431) and a diode for reverse connection protection connection.
The final bit is an indicator for charge complete; a transistor and an LED.
This is not designed for any real amount of power, expecting a 5V 500mA supply at the most.
If that red or black wire ever come loose, it could short out the cell, which would be not good.
I LOL’d at the squiggly trace on the top, which looks like a ‘current limiting’ trace.
So if there is no such thing as neutral white U3 xml’s which LED does the 7G5CS have that their selling. Is it the T6 neutral white or is it the cool white U3.
I want to buy the cool white U3 but don’t want to get stuck with the neutral white. Emailed fasttech, waiting for an answer
I’m looking at the V11A and it says it’s got no memory, which means is always starts on high, like Balder SE-1, which I prefer.
However, I’ve read some reviews of the V11A with the old U2 LED and they all say it’s got memory. Can anybody clear that out?
I think many post goes a little bit offtopic. This should be a thread for new products, not for discussions. The thread should be clear, users should be able to find products they want fast and not with extrem scrolling.
I don't want to be rude, but in the past many people posted things, which aren't important or useful for this thread. I wrote a few times to come back to topic, but many people don't care.
Why are here questions like if the Shadow SL3 XM-L2 is cool white? Take a look at the picture of the screenshots. For me it looks like CW. If you want a clear answer ask the FT staff. Nobody has the Shadow of Fasttech until now, because it's available since 25. May.
Why do people wrote something, which lost the sense like #566. It would be better to delete it. The same: Why is it important for this thread, that Fenix has MAP and FT do not sell theses anymore. Everyone can read this on each Fenix page of Fasttech.
It's good, that we make product requests, but why do we speak about it in this thread. Here is the thread about this: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/18648
If one person would post something little offtopic, it would be insignificant, but often other people react and wrote answers.
For the thread: Please delete post and pictures, which are offtopic, lost sense and do also click some pages back and not only on the last page.
In most of my posts I try to minimize the scrolling. This is why I scalling down the pictures, ask Fasttech, if I have question about a product (do not post every question here) and post the answers here like for the ZY-A622 bezel / SL interchangeable. I will post the response, if I get it.
Hi Buwuve, I hope this is not too forward of me. I can see you are frustrated at some of the contributions here in your thread, which is a nice idea. But the actions of others are beyond our control. We can ask nicely, but strictly speaking they aren’t doing anything wrong.
I think by starting a thread in a forum discussion is inevitable and here threads are not locked if they go off-topic. With this in mind, perhaps this isn’t the right place or platform? I know BLF has a lot of members, but have you considered making a blog, where you and perhaps some others you have approved to contribute, to share the best flashlight deals around? It needn’t be only FastTech, but other stores too. Or even a Twitter, something quite easy to follow and suits the mobile format very well.
It’s just an idea. I have even considered making a similar thread here, for DX and Wallbuys (even though I don’t like their lead times and TOCs, respectively).
Don’t forget the TrustFire T90-2 SST90 monster. It definitely has an aesthetic upgrade compared to the previous models. Side-button too. A bit pricey though.
Edit: comes with a nice case, plus batteries and charger.
Edit2: Discussion thread here
Thank you everyone who delete useless posts for making the thread more clear :)

i was one that requested that tr-a9, but also requested it as a host.
even at fasttechs price, i cant see myself buying it compared to the “premium” brands offerings. we got the ea4, d40a, pa40, ld40….
i just dont see the trustfire offering anything that justifies it being almost the same price. now if we could get it in a host format for $20-25, i would grab one. but, not so sure this host would be too mod friendly
Answer of Fasttech about the ZY-A622 bezel: It's removeable but they could not test if Solarforce products will fit (TF do not sell Solarforce hosts).
There aren't any new nice flashlight, knives or other great products. At the moment FT post a lot of E-cigarette products.
I use the spare time to clean this thread a little bit and will also update all prices of in my post in the next 1-2 days.
It would be nice, if everyone can take a closer look at the own posts here. Are they necessary or not? If not, please delete it. I don't want to create a CPF feeling here, but it would help to clean the thread a little bit.
Take a look at the "The BLF Deal Alert Thread (NO DISCUSSIONS HERE PLEASE)". It's clean and easy for everyone to find the things he or she needs. But the admin mark it big and yellow and I think sometimes people forget it. In "my" thread questions are ok, if they are important for many people, but often it's better to ask Fasttech staffs, because they can take a closer look at the product or a PM to a member, who bought this product in the past. Often here are other threads on BLF like reviews and discussions thread about special products - in these you will get better answers, because more people who are involved with the products read the special threads and on the other hand this thread will not lost the clearness.
