Fasttech - interesting new products - Flashlights, chargers, batteries and DIY and knives - please no discussions.

I often find the discussions here valuable. If people post the discussion in entirely different threads, I usually miss it because I rarely have time to check the recent threads page. However, I like the short in-line discussions about the new items. The parts of this thread I don’t find particularly useful are the random chatter about off-topic things and the repeated discussions about what kind of posts are appropriate.

(and now I’ve contributed to the signal-to-noise problem by posting about thread meta content instead of the actual thread topic)

I didn’t see any discussion about these G4 bulbs added. I might try them but probably better to do as texaspyro and replace with Nichia 219s:

For Android fans these look so cute! Would be nice for when I do the housework and don’t want to risk damaging my phone.

I like the Android robot, but this mp3 player looks really cheap (ok, under $5), but I think some things will break (antenna, bail, arms).

Here some new FT products:

A headlight, POLAR Cree XM-L U2 3-Mode (hi, mid, strobe) 900-Lumen 6500K Bike Light / Headlamp without battery pack, but with USB plug. You can use it with the power banks. One point: Description say: 1700mA, but in this case 900 Lumen are not realistic.

FT price with coupon: $15,51 My Link - Non aff-link

Not a real flashlight - a littel fun light for kids or a modding light ;) : Mini C8 1-Mode 30-Lumen White Light Flashlight 1*AAA, Tube diameter: 16mm, Working voltage: 0.8-1.5V. Here is a BLF thread about it.

FT price with coupon: $2,66 My Link - Non aff-link

Also two interesting products:

Kafuter Two-Component Acrylate Adhesive (80g) A+B glue for $2,88 (or 16g for $1,56).

Description say: 35g, headline 80g. Maybe one tube has 35g and the package 80g. Therer is another one for $2,87, but the description say only 33g. This is why I post the $2,88 product.

Sony Memory Stick Pro-HG Duo HX Card 4GB / speeds up to 30MB/s. Sony has his own memory card standard (SD, Micro SD don't fit). If this is a genuine product. I don't know.

FT price: $6,58 My Link - Non aff-link

that’s a great find, i was searching for something with enough power to replace a 20W halogen.
you did read pyro’s thread though, most halogen ballasts won’t drive leds correctly so require modification… what are you replacing?
also, these generic emitters are nothing like cree’s… very green tinted warm white

I have these Ikea lamps with transformers, but only 20W each and not recessed. It sounds like I definitely need to replace with Nichia 219 or forget it. I hope FastTech can stock Nichia soon.

This tint reminds me of these mini-strip lights I used to have in the kitchen to light the counters from under the cupboards; very green tint when compared to to halogen.

Buwuve, I think at $4 the Android player can’t be expected to last but as a fun gadget, small and light, and hopefully can clip it to a waistband, it might be okay. I have spare micro SD from my phone too. I will ask them if it has a clip.

I think FastTech are reading my mind!! They have added these GPS GSM trackers! I don’t know how good they are but I was wondering about a cheap and tiny tracker for a project. That is pretty small considering the size of the micro USB plug.

They just got some new 10A discharge Sony US18650V3 cells for $10.67 for a pair or $10.13 after BLF discount.

Jetbeam I2 PRO 2-channel charger for $13.24 or $12.57 after BLF code. Charges Li-Ion & Ni-MH/Ni-Cd

New as of today Sunwayman D40A @ Fasttech
I can’t say price at loud, but those poor 7 buddies that bought it on
wallbuys group sale will be canceling their orders soon :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh wow!!

Why not? Here it is:

Sunwayman D40A Cree XM-L2 4-Mode 980-Lumen Compact LED Flashlight 4*AA
Turbo > Hi > Mid > L. After 3 minutes on Turbo is goes to hig. Standby Current: < 30μA
Intensity: 24800cd, Working voltage: 3~6V.

FT listed price $52,61 with BLF $49,98. Edit 15.01 price goes up (maybe MAP is the reason): $79,93 with BLF $75,93 My link - non aff-link

because next thing we know it will be gone because of MAP...

And some people here are trying really hard to advertise minimal price :expressionless:
if it’s gone tomorrow you can say thanks to Buwuve for that…

Hey Buwuve, there is a discrete link 2 posts before yours, if you didn’t notice…

That price is publicly listed in FT’s webpage, with or without Buweve, it’s still there for all to see.

+1 Any supplier who has a MAP isn’t scouring forums to find out about advertised prices of their retailers. There is a much more obvious and direct route.

I think the manufacturers can use better ways to find out, which prices are to cheap. In the past SWM doesn't stop the prices of FT, why should they do this now with the D40A? But this thread should show good proucts and back to topic.

You want more LEDs as 3,5,7 or 9. Here it is the next after AK90

Another bikelight:

LW-JD10 3*Cree XM-L T6 4-Mode 1500-Lumen Cool White LED Headlamp 4*18650 (4000mAh). Output current 2000mA. In the description is written 3 mode (high, low, strobe), in the headline 4 mode and a picture show 3 levels of brightness. I thin it would be high, mid, low, strobe.
The listed price is $39,68, with BLF $37,70. My link - non aff-link

And the fun light with reverersed apple logo. W0098 Cree XM-L T6 3-Mode 650-Lumen Apple-Shaped Light Spot LED Flashlight 1*18650 / 1*26650 / 3*AAA, with a green filter, convex lens and you can charge the battery in the flashlight. I think the logo in the light isn't replaceable.
The listed price is $25,03, with BLF $23,78. My link - non aff-link

Mini XL-49 XP-E R2 FTT for just $5.46 or $$5.18 after BLF code
