Fenix no more at Fasttech

Did you read recent posts from FT where Jasmine explained some things to us? If you did, you would know that they didn’t lied or cheated. Please, inform more next time…

furthermore, they did ask about MAP prior than listing the product and were told they can form the price as they wish…

lololololololol fahqer!!!

Very well said gords1001.

Some of these flashlight companies think they are just like the Dukes on Trading Places.

Thanks Sirius9 for clearing up the facts.

Again, we the majority here that make up these forums are not flashlight dealers. We are flashlight buyers or collectors. So those dealers that think MAP is for you your very much in the minority here. We do understand you don’t like being under sold. But think of it how we take it. It’s not our fault you are a dealer. We are here to save some moola.

Its a shame, but seeing as I’ve already bought a couple nice Fenix lights, its no big deal to not buy from them anymore. only downside is batteries, as those fenix branded 2600mah 18650’s are high quality. still not worth $19.99 apiece, but at least they’re really 2600mah and protected, unlike *fire cells and a few others.
Still not a problem, as Panasonic makes great 18650’s that are true in their capacity also, so I wont be buying any more Fenix batteries either.

Olight and Crelant now… Gonna have to find some of those lights on Amazon sometime…. just not buying them from anywhere that helps the manufacturer thats for sure. Same goes for Nitecore. Might have to use Ebay, but I prefer amazon whenever possible due to less scams and hassles.

FastTech are not the only seller selling premium brands below MAP, but they’re arguably the highest profile. I don’t think it’s fair to single them out, but it seems like they have been, perhaps by disgruntled distributors unhappy with their competitive pricing (at least one seller has complained they cannot compete).

Jasmine from FastTech said this about Crelant and I feel it’s relevant here.

Now I am also wondering if some of these brands share the same distributor channels.

chloe, it wouldn’t suprise me if it turned out they all share the same manufacturing complex tbh.

Cheers brad, I just say what I see though.

This MAP (Manufacturer Arranged Price) thing is crazy!

+1 LOL

awesome, I’ll take the red pill please

The prophecy was a lie.

Everything that has a beginning has an end Neo. You were right. You are always right. It was inevitable. LOL!

MAP is Minimum ADVERTISED Pricing. Does not mean the price you necessarily pay…right? So… why all the drama?

There are ways to pay less. Doesn’t take a Rocket Surgeon to figure it out.

You are right, so, we need different approach:
retailers, manufacturers: my last offer is 70$ for 7G10 or TK75 or 90$ for RC40, shipped by registered air mail.
You can send me your lowest offer via PM (*all aditional gifts you include will also be considered as a bonus to your offer).
You can now start biding and let the lowest offer win
Good luck

+1000000000

That’s a good point, kronological. In fact that’s being krono-logical

I mean they could advertise the TK75 as $199.99 or something and then offer a discount upon inquiry (especially to BLF’ers J) )

+1, not that adding one to a billion makes any difference.
See, FT decided to take the high road when Crelant went and retroactively enforced a MAP guideline on them. They said no, we had a deal, and you be breaking it, so here are your lights back.
MAP has a simple workaround, called the coupon code.
FT could have chosen to go that route and implement their Nitecore-famous PRICECONTROL code on Fenix, Crelant and OLIGHT products, and almost everyone is happy. They didn’t, because they were pissed off. You can tell by their comments in their ‘How Did We Do’ thread.
Unfortunate, but them’s the brakes.
MAP is the light version of manufacturer enforced price. Anyone ever buy a video game console close to the launch day? Ever notice that the price was EXACTLY the same at every store? Exactly. That’s because they are told the price to sell at, no choice; you want to sell at launch, this is how much to charge. The penalty for breaking this rule? Your stores never see another Xbox, PS3, Wii, etc. again.

Guys same sh—-t with CRELANT too on fasttech !! what the f…… is happening …

Timely reminder bump
