I use to make a video every time i open a package because in this way you can avoid many problem if the item is wrong or broken. So i have a video where i open the KD package and i test the item. Is clearly visible that the flashlight is the 6 mode one.

The positive thing is that they answer to me after only one day. I send them the link of the video. Let's see what happen.

I don't know if KD would have ever sent a replacement and got tired of waiting, so I filled out their Contact Us form. The next day I got an e-mail asking me to confirm what part was missing. After I did that, tonight they said they would send it. So the system worked eventually, but not quickly, which is about right for budget lights.

I had some minor issues with defective or wrong items from KD. They allways solved the problems to my entire satisfacton.

Update: I send the video and after that NOTHING. KD support disappear.. I wrote agian but no answer.. Any suggestion?

If you don't get a reply with 24 hours (not counting weekends) then you should send another one. Use the Ask a Question link and give them your order number.

I don't know how well it will all work though. They said they would send the driver they left out of my order, but there is nothing to confirm that they sent anything or are preparing to do so.

FOLLOW UP: I received the driver a few days later.

I just had my first problem with KD. Sent the wrong item. I used their site to complain, sent a picture.

Next day I got the answer that they would send me the right item. So far so good. Have not received

it yet. Was not asked to send the other thing back.

I had exactly the same problem. I sended the photo and a link to the video i made when i open the package. But then nothing happen. I wrote to them again. Now i can only wait.

Finally i got an answer. They ask me to send back the item. They will ship the correct item this week.

I have only a doubt... They want the item back but they refund the shipping cost once the item is arrived in Hong Kong. The problem is that they don't want tracked mail. How do i know when and if the package is arrived?

Do you think i have to trust them and send back the flashlight? If they don't send me the right item again i have spent the price of the flashlight+the shipping cost and i don't have any paypal protection... (the first order was placed 4/28 so i have only few days)

Go ahead and file a dispute now anyway, which will buy you a couple of weeks to work everything out. You can mention that in your dispute. Even when the dispute period ends and you elevate it to a claim, there is still another week for them to respond to the claim. So you have at least 3 weeks for them to receive everything and give you a refund. And you may be able to ask PayPal for an extension if they seem to be making progress (I don't know if that exists, but it seems reasonable).

Sounds like abuse of the paypal system to me.

What refund? They are sending him the correct item without even waiting for the old one to arrive. I doubt paypal take lightly to preemtively filing a claim now just in case there is a problem in the future.

Also there is no reason (as is often happening here) to go rampant with paranoia and distrust when hundreds of people just on this forum has bought from KD without ever beeing ripped off.

Davx: You don't know if it arrives. But If they didn't want to pay for registered mail (unstandable since its 5 times more expensive in Europe than in HK), they can't prove you DIDN'T send it either. So don't worry so much...

Just because KD is responding favorably doesn't mean you can't file a dispute in order to extend PayPal's protection. The fact is the issue hasn't been resolved until the customer is happy and neither party owes the other anything. That isn't going to happen before the 45 day limit. The dispute costs nothing, especially if it resolves itself favorably. Even if you have to file a claim, there is still time to drop the claim and say it has resolved itself.

Davx is only trying to get what he paid for. To call this abuse is totally wrong.

Not only abuse but also irrational paranoia and fear. They sent or will send the correct item.

I never lost one cent from DX or KD and I didn't need Paypay to hold my hand or comfort me either.

Not only are you accusing Davx of abusing PayPal but also that his is suffering from paranoia and fear.

Go for it Davx. You have every right to use the PayPal safebuyingprogram. Its made to be used when

you dont get what you paid for. No one here know for sure if KD have send or will send anything until it

arrives in ones mailbox.

It is free insurance. And PayPal wants you to use it because they want you to feel 100% safe when you use their service to buy stuff. And the sellers want you to use it too because people who feel safe when they buy have one less obstacle to buying. Everybody wins. Filing a dispute in this case is far less slanderous of KaiDomain than the slander of calling someone paranoid, fearful, and abusive.

As a follow-up to my earlier post where I mentioned KD had left out a driver from an order. Although they didn't notify me that the item had been sent, I received it today. Thumbs up for KaiDomain for believing me (they didn't even make me take a picture of the driver I didn't receive) and sending me a new one.

got a 40 mm reflector instead. KD promised to send the ordered item. It came today.

I'm very satisfied. I purchased 2 of the (fake) Solarforce L2m's with the XML T6 drop-in, and a couple of glass replacement lenses for my M*glites. I placed teh order on 5/18. Recieved an email on 5/20 advising the items had shipped. The package showed up in my mailbox today (6/9) ~ 21 days shipping from the vendor to Texas, and all items in good shape/perfect working order.

I have been ordering from KD for a while with no issues. Today I received an order of 5 Nanjg drivers and 5 XM-Ls for some projects I am working on unfortunately I only received 3 of the 5 emitters I ordered but they stuck 2 extra drivers in the package. I e-mailed them around noon and threw in the prerequisite picture before they even asked. I got a response about 6 they are shipping out the 2 emitters in another order that was in the packing stage and I got 2 free drivers to boot. Great job KD.

Im new to the flashlight scene, But have dealt with several retailers in my short time. And let me say that ordering products from China will try any mans or ladies patience, Thats if they even ship in the first 3 days after placing the order.

I just placed my first order with Kaidomain.com about 3 days ago, As of yet it hasn't shipped. But to be fair 2 of the items did say 1-3 days shipping time. I sent them a message today threw their internal website message system and asked what was the hold up? They said my order will ship tomorrow. They answered that message within 6 hours iirc so that was good.

Whats odd is they have had a tracking code assigned to my order for two days half implying my order shipped and the status just didn't update. I cant find anything to complain about really as im finding this to be par for the course in ordering overseas.

They do have good items and alot in stock and no 7 days shipping holds like DX does to acquire your order from vendors. So far im happy and will order again.

Ill put up a rating when my order shows up and is inspected. But if i had to rate them now id say 3.5 stars only because im taking into account and comparing them to other Chinese retailers. If it was against an American retailer id give them 2 stars from what im used too. But those ratings mean nothing until my order is in my paws and ill come back and edit my post with a final rating.
