Overview: All Eneloop batteries 2005-2024

You do know there is this thing called Google  spoon feeding went out years ago.

Thomas Distributing… 100% chance of never getting fakes. They don’t have the latest generation, but they have 100% real Eneloops.

Even on Amazon you have to be careful of who is actually shipping the batteries.
A good example: It’s very easy to get fake SD Cards if you’re buying them from an importer that is just using Amazon to list them.

What is wrong with Fasttech I have bought my Eneloops from there and they have been fine. Don't tell me they are fakes????

They’re not fakes. I have some 3rd gen AAAs from FastTech. I don’t think they sell 3rd gen AA though, only 2nd gen .

@ Kipperman

Define bulk?

so,
http://global.rakuten.com/en/
lets you place an order ship to the Us. they then will send you an email with the shipping cost and wait for you to confirm before sending. I placed a sample order and have the shipping costs here for anyone who may be curious.
looks like it’s close to $1 per battery shipping and consumption tax

from amazon I get
16 eneloop HR-3UTGB for 43.15 with free shipping = $2.70 each

from global.rakuten.com/en
12 Panasonic BK-3MCC for 32.11 = $2.68 each
http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/nakaden/item/10008788/

8 Panasonic BK-4MCC for 22.23 = $2.78 each
http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/nakaden/item/10008839/

shipping and tax = $1.00 each

so its about a tie before tax
the extra $1 gets you 4th gen (extra 300 cycles) and piece of mind knowing you dont have fakes.

thomas distributing had 16 for eneloop HR-3UTGB $47.97 + $4.97 shipping. = $3.32 each so that will get you piece of mind for $0.50 cents.

So for a mere extra $0.50 each you get 4th gen.

I’m not sure where you are getting those prices, for example

http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/ida-online/item/bk-3mcc4/
packs of 4 @ US$19.64 x3

(Billed as ¥ 1,920 JPY)

US$58.92
(Billed as ¥ 5,760 JPY)

This is the net amount before shipping charges and freight forwarding fees.

But as I asked above……define BULK? that’s not even close to a bulk order.

@ picrthis
Thanks for your help with my questions.

here are links to best prices on rakuten. I think they are considerably better than what you have found. I hope these links help people get the best deal that I have found so far on 4th Gen eneloops.

http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/nakaden/item/10008788/
AA packs of 12 @ US$32.11(¥3,140)

AAA packs of 8 @ US$22.23 (¥2,174)

Regarding the term bulk:
Please refer the Chloe’s post #237 in this thread. She mentions here that “you can bulk buy 3rd gen cheaper domestically” to which I respond requesting a link to a reliable merchant to make such a bulk purchase.

I have no idea how to define “bulk”. I was just wanting to know what deal she was referring to. Unless she just meant it as a general statement and had no specific “bulk” deal in mind.

To you, I would say that if the bulk deal you are referring to is that good and there are too many for me to use, I would attempt to put together a group order depending on the minimum quantity required to get the “bulk” deal that you are referring to.

Lastly, I would like to emphasise that everything after the word [Products] in my original post is a direct quote sent to me from rakuten with the exact shipping charges
Thanks again,
Scott

Thank you, I don’t know why a search on the same site produced different results with much higher prices, but as they say It-Is-What-It-Is  I hope you enjoy them.

Update:

Well that is very interesting, they are not using a forwarding service like I found it to be before which made it too expensive I think they might be like Amazon MarketPlace that’s why the differences, domestically rakuten does the same thing, some items are direct from them some items a vendors listing selling from rakuten……….very good find Scott.

Ordered.

Scott, did you get shipping notice yet from the Rakuten store? I ask because I have tried to buy some things before (different sellers) only to get a follow up email saying they can’t ship, without explanation why, even though I had used the global portal instead of the JP site.

@ Chole

That is interesting didn’t know that happened, with the JP site it looks like the order would go through because of the freight forwarder but that really make it too expensive to go that route. I placed an order about 10 mins ago and I’ll report if they will actually ship to the USA too as soon as I hear back from them.

It should also be noted that as Chole said you shouldn’t worry about these being fakes because they a so brand new, But in the future you will need to be careful with Rakuten too, as your still not buying directly from Panasonic/Sanyo, rather a vendor/seller much like Amazon MarketPlace.

This could be a good short term solution until Domestics bring them online too, by then fakes will be found in some place or another.

Hi Chloe,
yes, it took about 24 hours to receive the shipping notice from the vendor. I have not placed my order yet as I am unsure of how many i need or if i wil get the regular or XX

@picrthis. what did you order?

I am still interested to know the details of any domestic bulk order you two are awate of. please advise

I ordered the 12 pack of AA and will complete the purchase if the final price in email is good, I’ll keep you posted.

Other than Amazon and buying in person from some stores I don’t know of any specifically. A lot of the deals are for 2nd gen (e.g. the rainbow 8 packs).

8 packs is not bulk, rather they are just that 8 batteries in a standard Retail pack.

I know! :stuck_out_tongue:

For sake of pedantry, 7dayshop sell eneloops individually, so you could bulk buy small quantities sans-retail packaging.

First off buying the ones on Amazon from “mybatterysupplier” are certainly not fakes, can’t speak for other sellers on there, but his are the real deal and are 3rd gen…

Here’s the 4th gen from Japan;

Panasonic BK-3MCC/12 エネループ 単3形 12本パック(スタンダードモデル)
http://item.rakuten.co.jp/nakaden/10008788/

————————————————
小計 2990(円)
消費税 150(円)
送料 1680(円)

So that is $4.12 a battery delivered or $1.42 more per battery to get 4th gens right now.

For some strange reason I want a pack of 4th gen now. >.<

I might be able to help you guys/gals out.. no promises though..!

would make it a bit cheaper than the ones you`ve mentioned...

but I don`t want to stay behind with 5 unsold packs, so Im a little hesitant to do this...

So I might open a new thread and see how much interest there is,

and I dont want get sued by paypal, if someone didnt receive his/her package..

so I only sell them on your own responsibility..

I know that most people pay with paypal to get a backup, but I`m not a kind of power seller, just helping you guys out..

I can probably sell the 8 packs AA for around $33, including sending ($5), paypal fees ($1.50), currency exchange loss ($0.5) and waste of my spare time ($20) ;)

so you basically get them almost for free ;)

Please talk about these things in my other thread to not get this thread too filled up with prices and off topic chatter
