Hey all,
I haven’t seen many Jetbeam RRT-01 mods so thought you might like a look at what i’ve done with mine.
Brief Description;
Brushed reflector with 0000 steel wool, gives an artifact free beam.
GITD powder and resin mix around bezel window.
GITD sticky plastic paper sheet around LED.
Graphite and resin mix around bezel groove.
Shortened clip with a dremmel cutting disc and bent the end up slightly with pliers, doesn’t get in the way of the control ring now.
Stuck on 4 5x5x1.5mm magnets with epoxy, sanded off the nickel plating and darkened using Birchwood Casey aluminium black metal finish.
Ground down the lanyard stud about half way so it holds a 12x2mm tritium vial nicely.
The stud had some red threadlock on it but loosened quite easily.
Covered it over with a 14.5x1mm bevelled edge glass window held in place with uv setting glue.
Various sized o-rings in the grooves.
I fixed the control ring looseness by soaking black cotton thread with silicone grease and then simply tying it off with surgeons knots and cutting off the excess.
You can do this as many times as you like to control the resistance of the ring movement.
