CONGRATULATIONS everyone!

It was amazing seeing all the unique builds in the detailed build threads. The creativity demonstrated here was incredible. 8)

Congrats to everyone that entered this contest! You all have so much talent…thanks for sharing your amazing builds!I am humbled to be a member here!-Rick

Well done guys and again thanks to all that made this event possible. I believe that the hand built lights are the winners here for the obvious reasons taking nothing away from vestureofblood. You have shown us all more than a thing or two about patience, workarounds and creativity. You have all thought outside the square here. Thanks for the last time. Cheers guys.

This was a wonderful contest, incredible builds and prizes. Congrats to all contestants for your fantastic job

Not sure I can say anything that hasn’t been said, but massive thanks to O-L for bringing this to us.

Big gratitude to Illumination Supply and LightsCastle for sponsorship.

Congrats to all the other players for creativity and determination. And while nobody likes to admit that they like one of their children more than another, RBD’s entry really showed us how a bit of metal and leather could be turned into functional art.

See y’all next year!

i would like to pass on my winnings to which ever contestant finished their light that Justin thinks deserves a little more for their contribution.

as i did not finish, i do not feel i deserve a prize. if i had actually put in a little more work i may feel different...

thanks for the offer though, really appreciate it

WOOOT!! I actually won something. This is the first time in 5 years of this hobby I have every won anything. Never hit the lucky number on a give away or anything until now!!

Probly didnt hurt my chances any that I was the only one in the machine class with a multi emitter light though LOL!!!!!!!!!

Thank you SO MUCH for doing this Old Lumens! And to all the sponsors cuz I can sure use the extra $50 bucks right now!

I am already looking forward to next years event!

PS: I agree with your choice for best over all light btw that gun light was super bling and made by hand, WOW!!!

Congrats to all of you, it was a real pleasure to follow all the builds step by step. I loved all the ideas, such cool stuff. :D

Congrats to the winners

It’s like a historical moment or something. It feels so substantial…so filling.

Awesome job guys!

 Nice gesture mate.

Got the cash today :)

Got my prize yesterday, spent it already
Thanks to O-L, sponsors, judges, contestants, and spectators! This was really fun.

And I have also spent prize coupons at Illumination Supply , finally getting some Arctic Silver Thermal Adhesive! Working on an order for LightsCastle, a whole assortment of Sipik lights and lasers.

Thanks again for the support and for putting the icing on the cake!

really good thread

Those who received gift vouchers/$$ from the comp, tell us what you used it on….

I used my voucher from LightsCastle for a FF HD2010, which was actually priced almost $5 more than what I had won.
It came with the ‘East 92’ driver (DD on High).

Of course, it has been completely pulled apart, whilst I figure out what to do with it……

It would also be interesting to see what becomes of the lights entered into this years comp. …Mine is currently a ‘shelf queen’, due to me only owning 2*26650 cells, both of which are doing time in my Convoy L2.

I got a beautiful Ultrafire UF-T20 from Lightscastle. They very generously extended their offer to that value.
I was already planing on writing a few lines about that light, but that will have to wait until the weekend.

My light is partially disassembled, don’t like to leave the Lipo battery in there without any kind of protection.
Looking forward to rework it a litte when I have more time than I have at the moment.

Nice, the FF HD2010 looks awesome btw!

I got a couple of NW xm-l2 emitters on 16mm stars from IS:

Fast shipping as always…

And like y’all, they bumped me to $30 credit. I spent another $41 to capitalize on it.

How was y’alls experience with LightsCastle? Smooth, fairly normal or not so good? It took me multiple multiple efforts to get through the checkout. I would come back and try again, come back in another browser, on and on til I finally managed to get through. Some 7 attempts in all. Someone else I know said their visit was the worst online shopping experience they’d ever had!

Do they have some bugs in the system or what?

Now I’ll wait and see how long it takes everything to get here and if everything I ordered actually makes it. 7 items 6 different ones. Including a Tank007 E06 and a bright Red Sipik 68 for Daniel, he loves red as much as he loves lights. (He’ll be 6 later this month) The rest of the order was basically different lasers for RBD to play with. I REALLY want to see that raygun finished and aiming a laser before blasting light! We all, I think, want to have our go with Barbarella saving the world with the Universe’s most powerful weapon at our disposal. lol
