The King is dead? Long live the Warrior!!

I am really liking this one! I can’t wait until dark tonight. Since I got screwed on my King I can’t compare it to it, but I really am loving the Warrior!

Beautiful. Hope I can find a way to stash some moolah to pick this up. 8)

I do plan on a full review eventually. Have a few to do before it though so don’t hold your breath.

I agree on all counts. This has the edge over the SRK in my book simply because of the ability to make the 2nd mode any level I want. With the SRK you are locked in to the 2 modes.

Now an SRK with TexasPyro's driver would be a whole other matter! ;)

Very nice beam shots! That’s a great place to do them in. I have nothing similar to that where I live. :frowning:

JohnnyMac, have you compared to SRK and does it out-throw it? It appears to. Completely agree, the variable output option makes this light way ahead of a standard SRK and Kung even with around the same output, and if throwier, adds another bonus variable to the mix.

I’m highly interested, but I’m kind of holding out for a NW version. Any news from FastTech by any chance about the possibility?

I’m sure some forum member could easily neutralize one for you.

I had it in my shopping cart until I saw your comment about the PWM on Fasttech :frowning:
Maybe I’ll get the SRT7 instead.

No reply from Jasmine, SB. She has been MIA this past week.

I did not. Sorry.

I will add that this has momentary on and the SRK does not. ;)

Well go do it, its almost dark!!! Yeah momentary on is nice to have too. I already prefer it to SRK and I dont have one yet…and after my experience with ordering a Kung, I can only recommend it if it comes with “-pao chicken” after it in a nice Chinese restaurant.

Warrior seems to be an evolved SRK with cool features but the PWM turns me off from it.If you don't have a light of this form factor yet,I think it's a great deal. Thanks for everyone's input on the warrior.

Thanks JohnnyMac. I wouldn’t have been able to post the pix without your thread on adding pictures to posts, and garrybunk’s tip on Photobucket links.

Fasttech site has been saying these would be back in stock July 31. Now on July 24 they are already back in stock, just ordered two more.

Mine arrived while I was away for a couple of weeks. I returned last Sunday, and one of the first things I did after I kissed my wife, was check it out. Fantastic light! I hope this second shipment is as good as the first. Someone who has received one from both shipments needs to reassure us that they are just as good, as I would like to order more.

JohnnyMac. If Fasttech is willing to get 3C, XM-L2 versions of this light (in a reasonable time frame  ,) I’m in for one for sure!

Also, did you open the light? How does the heatsinking look? Thanks.

Given the current draw of 3A, I’m surprised by the output. Can you measure current draw for us? Thanks again!

Performance and beam sound similar to the T60CS, but that about half the price.

Loctite yes/no?

No loctite, battery carrier unscrews from head, bezel unscrews from head, the rest of the head is one piece.
