I am very new to knife, they are my second knifes.
None of people I have asked around me can guess the price to be so low even I told them upfront they are very very cheap.
And after I told them the low price, they ask me which local shop I got them. I told them they were from HongKong by air.
Then everyone is guessing what is the cost to fabricate these knives?
I suspect they are rejected batches due to minor cosmetic defects, and FASTTECH somehow got hold on a big batch and want to clear them fast.
I gave one to my mum and she used it to cut chicken yesterday, sharper than her other knifes, maybe it is still new.
yah .they got tons of these stuff in china. its the worlds manufacturing base now! il order a few more as gifts! I suspect there's a limited quantity and its going to run out of stock soon...
Sorry for all that like that knife but… It’s a fake knife that you can find in all places.
And the steel is unknow, in some sites it says 8cr13mov, others 440c (haha) and other 420j, well, who knows.
"This may or may not be legitimate. We did have these produced for the RMEF a while ago, and they were manufactured in China. However, these have also been a favorite of the counterfeit sellers. We have seen these pop up on numerous sites (many in China). The problem is, since the originals were made in China and they do such a good job copying, the counterfeit ones look exactly like the legitimate ones and both are made in China. Best thing to do is to ask how the person selling it acquired it. If it was from a web site, I would be leary. If it was from a "brick and mortor" store in the US, then probably ok, or if from the RMEF itself, then ok.
