Many members may have noticed the last few months FastTech have stopped selling many premium lights almost as fast as they listed them, meanwhile their vaping market has really taken off.
But there is hope yet. Staff member “geek” posted this on their forums recently:
Sweet. They e-ciggy community has really flocked to FT, but there’s room enough for both communities methinks. I hope so. As long as the wife is buying so much e-ciggy stuff, I get to add all the flashlights, batteries and knives I want to the cart
They're slow to add some of the lights I want, but I haven't even asked for most of the lights I want. There have been lots of complaints, but who is actually going to Fasttech and making requests and inquiring about "bulk orders" for MAP-restricted lights?
You know, Fasttech never acknowledged my request for a set of dead batteries I received, never gave me a RMA. PayPal said I have to send them back and of course the postage is higher than the item cost. Through PayPal they agreed to pay for return shipping and then stopped responding. Fastech lied to me, they seemed OK till I asked for a return address after they said send it back. Then nothing….
Reading the threads on here made me think they were safe, not true in my case. PAY WITH A CREDIT CARD not a paypal balance.
Thanks. A kind if misleading subject on that thread! Anyway, I posted to it, “encouraging” them to start picking up new flashlights/flashlight-related products faster, after their website is named “FASTtech” :)!
I actually received a dead battery not too long ago, but within 4 exchanges (via a ticket) over the course of 3 days they arranged to send out a new battery to me.
Did you have any proof that your batteries were dead?
If it helps, I had pictures with my DMM clearing showing the dead cell and another picture showing a working cell. I couldn’t reset it any way I tried, and the order was for 6 pairs.
ecig equipment has evolved way faster than flashlights, and more of it is considered consumables. said it many times here. it is obvious what their bread and butter is. and on top of that, they undercut all competition on prices. they took the ecig community by storm when it comes to the chinese products
last year you were looking at $50+ for a rebuildable atomizer, now FT has them less than $5. can you imagine what it would be like if they could offer a mcgizmo haiku at $20? its about the same comparison
I needed some non-flashlight related items such as binoculars, BT SPeakers, etc., so I ordered about $85.00 worth of stuff from Banggood. It made me think I have not heard much about them in the last couple of months, or is there a thread for that sort of thing that perhaps I missed? I looked at Wallbuy’s and their prices and product offerings were not competitive. For flashlight related items I’m starting to check IOS first, then get hosts from Solarforce, and I’ll probably consider getting some LED’s for Simon at Great Wall.
To be honest, I have bought more of my lights from Wallbuys and other places recently. Mostly because of the great sales on premium flashlights. In fact, if you shop around you can find US vendors oftentimes with better prices than Fasttech if you’re dilligent. I don’t see buying a Flashlight from them anytime soon. Their best value was the Convoy line and now it’s showing up at other vendors, with the same customization and at cheaper prices. So if the prices jumped on all the premium lights, and they’re being undercut in price on their best value brands- I don’t see a reason to shop there for anything else but misc. parts and batteries.
