What are you drinking??

How are you feeling right now? BTW, thanks for planting the Bloody Mary idea in my head. It's been awhile since I had one. It's quite enjoyable... :)

fine. its rare for me to get a hang over. about 1.5" vodka, top the pint glass off with v8

I've had my share of hangovers. I won't mention a fellow BLF member's name who visited me a couple of months ago. He ended up praying to the porcelain god after a night of heavy drinking. lol! I felt so bad for him. Thank God he didn't throw up on carpets!

oh I have definitely had my share of hangovers . I think it was my 23rd birthday i had something like 7 long islands at the bar in under an hour. just went there for a quick pregame with my friends. ended up in my bedroom all night at my own birthday party haha

edit: someone would buy me one and I would down it and get ready to go, then someone would come up with another one... cant refuse a free bday drink

Man that sucks! Been there, done that. And with Long Island Iced Teas as well! lol!

thats all I drank for a long time. killed my gut I think lol. I was a very generous tipper back then, and all the bartenders knew I would not drive, so they would make my drinks special haha

That was my drink of choice in the 90's. I also had friends who were bartenders that made my drinks "special" Back then I did drink and drive. Luckily I never had an accident or got pulled over. These days I never drink and drive. I rarely go to bars anymore. When I do, I'm not driving.

had two OUI's before I was 21. third is a felony... so yeah, smartened up pretty quick

I smartened up after a drunk driver killed my sister's best friend. That was a real wake up call :(

Dude, I love me some Tito’s! Texas Vodka for the win!

I now live about 20 mins south of Austin, where Tito’s is located. and you’re right, the stuff is hellaciously smooth.

As for what I’m drinking? Well, sober right now, but I have some Shinerbock lined up in the fridge, and I’m overdue to bust out another Divine Reserve 12……I have 5 left, planning on drinking one a year. It’s supposed to reach peak flavor and awesomeness in 2017.

Tonight I'll be having a couple of Hotter Than Helles from the Cigar City Brewery .

I also have some 60 Minute Dogfish Head IPA chilling .

my wife got some hooker watermelon ale (how long will it be before dale makes a joke about a hooker melons ???)

and some johnny walker black for myself - whiskey is my drink of choice the past few years - either bourbon or single malt when i have the $

You drink out of the bidet? That’s hardcore gross… even if it is free.

At least 33 year old Port Ellen - they demolished the distillery in 1980. Probably around 50 years old.

Just don't ask what the bottle cost - but I earn less than that in a quarter year.

There are Caol Islas as good which cost a bit less - but not much less.

… now my mouth is watering lol

ive never had anything aged longer than 18 years myself

The old Islay whiskies aren't for everyone. Imagine drinking Stockholm Tar and you'll get the general impression.

And reckon on each sip costing $200. Ardbeg or very old Caol Islas are the closest that mass-market stuff gets.

But don't try it till it is 30 years old. Which costs a lot. If you can't take 3 year old Ardbeg - or Caol Isla (If you can find one that young - personally, I avoid it till it's 10) or Bruichladdich (Which isn't drinkable till it's 20) or the other Islas. Stick to Speyside stuff. The MacAllan is the best unless it was matured in bourbon casks in which case don't drink it. Really don't. My patients' cats leave better n their litter trays.

Alternating between two home brews, fir tip ale and honey porter while we brew another honey porter and a kolsch.

Tonight it’s Stone Levitation Ale. Also put a batch of welch’s wine in the fermenter earlier today hope it turns out ok.
