Does anyone have links to a decent holster that will fit a C8 single 18650 sized torch? I'm trying to find one for my Trustfire F15 and another C8 light. I don't want one that leaves the tail switch exposed and it must cover the head of the light.
I'm also trying to find a good holster for a Mini Maglite (2AA) that goes over the top of the light and fastens without a lot of play or looseness. The stock minimag holster leaves a lot to be desired and I don't want any of my modified minis falling out on me.
I’ve got the one from solarforce for the L2 and it fits the F15 no problem. tailcap sits on bottom. I think I paid $7 when I ordered my L2. I think the uf holsters at dx or manafont fits too, same style.
Thanks okyeung but the camo part is a problem for me. I'm hoping edc has an mrv or something similar and he can just check and see if and how they fit.
When I need or want to buy something and I can get it at Manafont--I'll do it in a heartbeat. They've been very, very good to me over that past year or more. Fast shipping, great products and so far no mistakes after about a dozen orders. [knock on wood]
The one they recommend for the MRV is a bit pot-luck. With some the MRV is a very, very tight fit and with some it won't work at all. The 119 holster (which is the one pictured above as coloured in by me) works far better for the MRV and its clones.
The 111 holster might work on a C8 if it is shorter than an MRV - it need only be by 2-5mm shorter. The larger head won't be a problem in that holster if they are anything like the six or so of them that I have.
It's not so bad if you let them dry for a few days before use. I'll stick one in some cold water (we never get warm rain here) for a day or two to see what happens...
That's an MRV in there.

I've stuck it in a disposable container full of water - I'll leave it there for a couple of days to see what happens.
I don't actually know what the result will be - we'll see in a day or two.
Should be just fine. Once the thinner dries out of the Sharpie ink it will never bleed or run. Your holster is black for good. Although it may fade some, it will never rub off on you or your clothes.
Oil based dyes, like used in many leathers, can and do bleed quite often. I've had many an unlined leather glove that made my hands black when sweat made the dye bleed. I have to laugh when I see shaven headed guys like myself buying unlined black leather do-rags to wear on their motorcycles. I can only imagine what their scalps will look like the first time they sweat badly in it on a hot day. LOL.
