A Fake Sanrenmu Knife in Chinese Market GB-908

Just joking Dave but then again if you can get them and sell them cheap--some people around here will buy them.

The EL01 is my top pic in large folders and overall favorite pic among the 50 or so folders I just bought recently... but then Im going through my large knives appreciation stage at the moment.

Im not sure all of exactly what I have... its late and Id have to go digging. Im still waiting on a few knives to arrive but bought around 50 brand new knives within the past few months. I plan on doing an online photo slide pictorial real soon. Then all I have to do is add pics to the slide show when new knives arrive.

Here's a primer but my list has grown a great deal since I posted. https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/2102

it will cost around 14 USD including shipping.

for this price, you can have a realy Sanrennmu 7 series knife.

then you can consider to get some mini EDC knives from Sanrenmu, like C117, C141 and the 6 series.

And people think I have a problem.

ashuang0731, how do you know that your GB908 is fake and not left over inventory? Even the box looks legitimate (damn thats scarey!). Do you have an original to compare?

Yes, its very sad so why try to hide it?

Now is actually a great time to collect. The quality of certain select Chinese knives is no longer a secret and prices will continue to rise as their popularity increases. Im wondering if quality will drop when their demand surpasses their supply.

I am the wholesaler of Sarenmu Knives in China . and SRM 908 doesn't looks like this.

I hope not but in the meantime all we have to do is keep buying knives early while the quality is still good. I sound like a crack addict but addicted to knives.

I dunno if that's true. Knives don't exactly have inelastic supply, nor demand for that matter. The production base in china is essentially infinite, and the quality issue is more of a new cultural problem (transitional capitalist greed) than anything else. But hey, whatever we gotta tell ourselves... I like to think of the times I missed out on some flashlight deal to motivate my purchases.

I just try not to think about it...:( My last order I bought I think 8 SRM710s so Id never run out, and will have some spares if I loose one, or they get discontinued, or prices increase, or I want to mod, etc.

In hindsight it was kind of stupid, now I need to order a black one, a yellow camo one, and a couple others, so I wish I bought a variety of different models in the first place.

But the good news is that Im not addicted to flashlights, I just have one Sipik AA zoom, its perfect for me and thats all I need. This is the only sub forum I check, LOL.

Your version certainly sounds far more plausible but does very little in helping me feed my addiction!

Well, hope your family celebrate christmas. Though my mother never like it when I gave her those kind of gifts.

what is the world coming to when you cant even get a decent fake anymore.

Following is the pictures of 908 (MC6-908 and WS6-908), there is no model name GB 908

WS6-908

MC6-908

Well I started out addicted to flashlights then a few people (you all know who you are ) around here started talking knives and so knife addiction it is.

I wonder what's next....multitools?

Hi David,

Good to see you on the forum. I bought some SRM 605s from you a few weeks ago.

There's another LAND knife on Aliexpress, the GB9-908, that looks like the knife in your original post but with black scales. Also a fake?

I have this 908. Its the typical SRM legendary build quality, although I feel the blade is on the thin side for a knife of its size. Its still adequate for most cutting chores and could be an advantage for food preparation. Its to bad these are almost all gone.
