When I bought my Ultrafire KH-T60 it boasted 1200 lumens out of a single 18650 CELL... I call schenanigans. I have a Yezl Z1X and it is slightly dimmer than the Ultrafire and I know the Yezl is about 814 and some change. Does anyone know what the true lumens is for that Ultrafire? I am willing to bet maybe 830.

I'd be surprised if it was that high, I'm guessing mine is about 700.
NEVER take the Lumens claims of Chinese budget lights seriously, especially when they say "Manufacturer Rated". Those claims fall into the same category as diet pills that guarantee you will lose 30 lbs in one month, and male enhancement drugs that say they will add 4 inches to your stuff (I only got an additional 2 inches, I was pissed).
It is still a lot of light, but nowhere near 1200 Lumens.
Rats, finally sold my 2010 509hp Mustang...now I can buy more lights!
Sold the red one too! Now guess what I drive, doing my penance for 500 hp commuters...

Yes...I would confidently say 1200L from an xm-l is unattainable. 1200L from an 18650 on the other hand....easily. (SST-90, triple xp-g's, there's options...).
I don't know about you, but I couldn't tell a 16 lumen difference between two lights over 800. I'd say the actual difference, if any, between the two lights is <5%. This is assuming both are going direct drive in high.
Now the perceived difference...whole 'nother ball game. The larger reflector of the ultrafire will give a more intense hotspot, which would definately make it look brighter.
Then again, this is all speculation on my end...as I have no experience with the ultrafire you mentioned, so take it for what it's worth

It is good to have a couple on ANSI-rated lights for comparison, then you can at least get a general idea if another light is brighter or not, but there are still a lot of variable like tint and reflector size.
