That charger/battery combo…that cash was earmarked for something else!!! :frowning:

Me too. Not as solid as Gladiator, but smaller (when retracted = easier to carry) and lighter (= faster to swing) & solid enough (= makes damage). My favorite baton light at the moment!

:expressionless: not making this any easier.

I’m interested again, then, and amazed it can extend from 32.5mm to 415mm.
Is it sturdy enough not to bend or break if a strong adult male hit something like an attacking bear or moose at full force with it?
Also, couldn’t it be passed off officially as a backup flashlight rather than a weapon if one were questioned by the PoPo?

EDIT: Seems to be a lot of room inside this light for mods, another plus.

Does this enable help?

Here's a comparison photo containing the same light (topmost):

..and another with the light extended:

The bottom one with the spiked mace head is wicked cool.

My only concern with this one is the rigidity when extended.

Also it can be got from BG: Mace for $13.79 (with coupon blf) [Try explaining to police officer: "Sir, those are just cooling fins..."]

I think the rigidity of the extending one is not a problem, but then again, I haven't hit anyone with that (yet!)

The spiked one is the least rigid of those four. But that's not bad either.

It’s pretty solid. I think it would easily crack heads without any worry of it breaking.

Since I doubt any cop would believe it’s just a flashlight, might as well just carry a baton. I’m surprised these places don’t carry traditional telescoping batons.

A 5D Maglight is longer and weighs three times as much.

How about the Maglite 6D (19.5”/495.3mm long) with a Malkoff drop-in?
If that’s not long enough, find the Maglite 2 D extension tubes on ebay.

For the price, I like the portability factor, so ordered one. Besides, this will go well with my other dual purpose light, which doubles as a hiking stick.

Thanks to ouchyfoot & the for the firsthand feedback, & to furythings for the extra savings.

Roche F12 CREE XM-L T6 950lm 5 Modes Mini LED Flashlight 1x18650 or 2x CR123A for $14.71 (blf)

I wonder if it has that sickly yellow coated lens like the Fasttech version. If not, it’s a great deal. In fact, it’s probably still a great deal even if you have to spend 94 cents for a new lens.

I would definitely go for the real Roche....At BG.

I had one of those fake roche, and it just wasn't great.

I also did a review on it, you can find here on BLF..I think it was named something like Smart U2 xml...

There were reportedly 1.75a and 2.5a versions (according to reports at CPF) of the F12. Unless the 950lm rating is wildly exaggerated, I take it this is the 2.5 amp driver version?
